Sam watched this and then thought about the Black Sphere being destoryed. then looked at the game. It was easy for Stripetail to beat her and then he closed his eyes then opened them "It's not over..." He said distrubed

"Sundown something is going to happen..."

"so, You've sensed it too.' Stripetail said, moving his king closer towards Ducky's unmoved pieces. Ducky moved a piece away from the middle king . Stripetail another of his pieces to check hers. Ducky then moved ont of her back pieces, leaving an opening for Stripetail to move into. Two moves later, he had done so. "She left two of her pieces open to attack." Ducky moved her other back piece.' "That was a mistake." Down. Across. Back. 3 pieces were gone. She then moved her closest piece. Stripetail Then Jumped her. Her last piece was on the left side. He then Started moving his pieces toward her piece.

Sam looked at his watch then looked at Stripetail "Didn't you notice how easy that was to destory the Sphere? And why did the markings told over and over again to destory it in the planet which it was made?" Sam looked at the two worried now.

"No they all was destoryed but I would advice we keep a eye out on sundown... something just don't seem right..." Sam said to him.
"Looks at the game with you and Ducky... look how easily you are beating her at the mo... but now look ahead 5 turns... she will win" Sam said pointing at the board.

Odon snorts. "The only joy I remember you having is when you started bossing people around when the Thundering Falls stopped..."

Grandpa looks to the sky in worry. "That was not a good time for all of us..."

"What ever happened it the blasted past! Don't start a pointless agurement on something that happened! all we need is fights to break out!" Mike lost his call shouting at them with seroius voice that was very loud for a human.

Sam stares at the board looking at all the possible moves seeing that in 5 moves Ducky will get a edge and win

Grandpa steps in to stop the fight. "We all have gone through hard times today. Let's not start any more arguements. Sometimes your comments go too far, Odon."

"Fine, fine...I'll stop. I'll go check around the Great Wall just to make sure everything is back to normal..." Odon gets up and walks off.

As his uncle disappears behind the bushes, Guan looks to the others. "Sorry about what my uncle said, everyone. Even he isn't in much of good spirits because of what happened today."

Mike took a few deep beathes "I hate when I blow my stack... please don't go to that point again..." Mike looks at Mr Threehorn

"Whatever you say..." Mr Threehorn mumbled.

Max looks up at Grandpa "Could you give me a lift so I can have a good look through these at the peaks. just to make sure that nothing more is happening"

Stripetail smiled. You forget she can only move forward or sideways. I have ten pieces , she merely has one. "

Grandpa gives a nod and lowers his head to the ground so Max could climb on. After Max got on his head, he slowly and carefully lifts his head back up, letting the human get a view of the Valley high up.

Guan looks up from the ground. "What you see from up there?"

Sam watch the move that Zac caught him on. Ducky's piece took out a piece hitting the far side kinging it then it went on all over the board taking out all the pieces. "As you was saying? Ducky wins" Sam laughs.

Max looks through his scope and saw black smoke still coming from the peaks "How long would a fire burn on rocks?" Max asked Grandpa

Grandpa looks to Threehorn Peak. "Well, Threehorn Peak is what we call a smoking mountain, so it continues to smoke for a long time. We just try to make sure to stay away from it at all times...though today was most likely an exception."

"Well alright... but there is usually dark black smoke like it hovering over the peaks" Max said taking the scope away from his eye then thought of something

"Here have a look through it" Max lowers down and put the scope in front of one of grandpa's eyes and he could see the peaks close and clearly with the hovering black smoke around the tops of the peak.

Grandpa peers into the scope. "Well that's interesting. You can see things more clearly...oh...the smoke." He looks, pondering. "You're right. The smoke never looks like that when it leaves Threehorn Peak..."

"Sam. Once A piece becomes a king, the turn ends. Maybe you and Zac played by different rules than I do." Stripetail reset the board, giving a piece to Ducky's king. he then moved his piece nearest to Ducky's king sideways."But a skilled move nonetheless." Ducky moved her king sideways after his piece." King me." He smiled." that 's 3 kings now for me." Ducky put a piece on top of his. Stripetail looked at the board. He moved his middle king down a space. There were three possible moves for Ducky to do. She could move her king towards his king, but he would win the game on the next move. She could move her king toward his other piece, which would be a safe move. Or she could move backwards, also a safe move." Sam could beat me if he were playing right now, but Ducky doesn't yet have the experience that Sam or I have." he thought."Do you remember how you started playing chess with Zac? You always lost, that's how you start with most games. Ducky COULD win, but The odds are against her. Remember, She is still a young girl, without the acquired knowledge that an adult human has ." Ducky moved her king backwards. Stripetail nodded."although she is smarter than most young humans because of the knowledge she has acquired." Stripetail moved his king down again. Ducky responded by moving Backwards again. he moved his another of his pieces into her side and flipped it over. 4 kings to one. She moved her king back into his side"King me again" She said. "Um, Ducky , you only get kinged once.' Stripetail chuckled. Stripetail Looked at the situation. If he moved his king down or sideways, she would jump it on her turn. But he had her cornered. Her only options were to move sideways to the right or left and he would win on the next move. Unless he made a mistake . He moved his last uncrowned piece, "Your turn. " Ducky, looking at the board moved her piece left. Stripetail jumped her, ending the game."For your first game, you played remarkably well. I think it's all that knowledge you acquired." Ducky smiled.' Thank you, Mr Stripetail. I had fun playing you." she said.He gestured, and the board vanished. "let's go see where your friends are."

"I'm afraid I have to agree with you," replied Grandpa. "Things don't return to normal here for long."

Guan barely manages to hear to what the two have been saying, and looks out to Threehorn Peak, watching the strange formation of smoke hovering over the volcano.

Max looks at his watch "mmm... only 5 hours till sunset... we will have to wait to then to see what happens... make sure before sunset that all the kids are in a safe place" Max said staring at Threehorn peak still

Mike looks as well then thought for a second. He looked up at Grandpa looking at Max on his head "Where is the book of Mythes of other worlds?"

"In one of those boxes behind the falls. Sam is over there at the moment." Max replied

"Right I'm going to check it out" Mike left to the falls making a dash to it.

Sam clapped his hands "Nice game, good try Ducky, you almost had him" Sam stopped and looked at a book in some dark brown sheeting "What's this?" Sam picked it up taking the cover off.

"This is Mike's Special Edition on Mythes of Worlds. This gives the good, the bad and the unkown of Mythes of 200 planets... including the one that was destoryed where the Black Sphere was made from" Sam said opening the book up flipping the pages.
