Dinosaur Doomsday? Will it happen while GOF is

I was wondering, you don't think the asteroid or whatnot falls during the lifetimes of the Gang of Five, do you? (I actually originally feared that when they made Stone of Cold Fire, and so was afraid to watch the movie because of that and didn't for years.)

Or, do you think it will come probably 10+ generations after they have passed on?

Chances are it won't. The end of the first movie states- "And they all grew up together in the valley. Generation upon generation, each passing onto the next, the tale of their ancestors' journey to the valley long ago."

The last part, with the "ancestors" thing, to me, strongly indicates that the GOF will grow up and die long before the asteroid strikes. So they will be spared that fate.

What asteroid xD? The one in 7 wasn't big enough, and the one in 10 happened way long ago
