I cannot recall too much about the show, but do recall that they were perfectly (or was it totally) mismatched and were Rita and Runt.  

I want to say, though it's just a guess, that Rita was the smarter one.

Runt: Uh, what are we gonna do?

Rita: Run and hide.  We always get away!
