The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Have You Ever...

Have you ever installed an operating system before?  How did it turn out?

Sure, I've installed Windows 3.1, 95, 98 and XP (home and pro) a number of times each.

Nope, I haven't. The reason? I don't think I'm good enough to do so. So, I'll ask my brother to do it.

I've installed Mac OS X Leopard. It was so easy. I just popped in the disk, restarted the computer, and followed the step-by-step instructions.

I've installed an OS or two. A few installemnts like XP went great, but I had an ill-fated attempt to install Windows 98 on a laptop I shouldn't have. A repetative blue-screen error during a driver check kept me from installing it. Plus, instead of going to the partition I made, it ate my XP installation, necessitating a system restore off of some restore CDs I made.
