I think we already understood your point about director (what a pure guy, this director! He hiccuped one thousand times already after your thousand posts that mentioned him)... And about LBT14 too...

Changing one guy won't change general deal. For me, since the second movie, they (Universal Studio?) reduced general quality of LBT sequels (with single exceptions in mid of movies).
If head stuff wo't change direction, we won't see our lovely Land Before Time in the same  level as original.
