The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Okay... So I'm not "new"

Well I'm by no means a "new" member, I've been posting perhaps too much over the last few days, if there is such a thing :p

I figured I might let you guys no a bit about me, I'm by no means an underachiever (though I can be lazy :p)

I am an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, earning 17 merit badges more than the minimum (21, I have 38,) I am one of the only people in Kansas with an Interpreter's Strip, in Spanish, and I've been to Japan and met a Scout troop there, in my sister city, I am a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow, and a Hardway Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say (Honor Camping Society, created by H. Roe Bartle)

outside of scouts, I am interested in music, as you can see from my zealous post of having much Linkin Park music, I am a street teamer ('volunteer' promoter, organized by the band themselves kinda) and part of their fanclub, the Linkin Park Underground, I am also a street teamer for Fort Minor (Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park's side project,) Holly Brook (singer from Wisconson,) and Hydroponikz (rapper from Queens, NYC, NY)

I am also a musician, a drummer, as well as making remixes and tracks for my friends' site: Xero Focus Studios

I first saw The Land Before Time probably before I could speak, my parents bought the movie in 1988 for when they would have a kid,  I was born 2 years later, and I probably saw the movie soon there after, I have all the movies up to 9 from their first release, and then we missed (my parents and I) the announcement of the tenth and didn't get it until 4 or 5 months after 11, I haven't seen a lot of the TV Series but I figure I'll watch them all (the episodes) eventually

I enjoy the TV Shows Scrubs, Mythbusters, and Penn and Tellers Bull$#!^... that's really its name...

I REALLY like Foxes (that's what the Japanese in my sig is... it says "Fox",) I see Foxes as rather spiritual beings, so if I seem to randomly capitalize it, it's because of that

I hope this helped you guys get to know me a bit better :p and... I hope I enjoy my stay here -sounds like a baffled newbie-  :o

but in all seriousness, that's a bit about me  :^.^:

If you like Foxes you are probably going to like the online comic Faux Pas as well. It was Petrie who introduced me to that one. Though I have no particular enthusiasm for foxes this comic is just awesome and really funny.

A boy scout eh? I used to be a girl scout, only for a year. I lost interest in it, though, and left.

Faux Pas. I remember that comic. I don't read it that much though because I have a hard time following it.

I've really enjoyed lots of things about Scouts, NOAC and Japan being the highlights, although I am trying to get patches from as many countries as I can so far I have

BSA: United States
Japan (Far East Council, for those born as US Citizens in Military bases and whatnot)
Singapore (I think it's a CSP from Far East)

Other:

Bot Scouts of Canada, Epaulets, and I think it's like a sholder patch...
Korea, Star Rank patch
Japan, Slides, numerous event patches, sister city neckerchief and slide, all the rank patches

My friend from Venezuela also showed me a patch from there (internets) But I don't own any from there :(

The comic is fun, haven't read all of it but I read several
