As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Did anyone see the leaked video of the potentially upcoming Harry Potter RPG game? It's been taken down by Warner Bros on Youtube by now, but I found this mirror in case you haven't seen it yet: https://my.mixtape.moe/scyeev.mp4

The graphics look stunning, even from this crappy camera quality, and the combat actually looks decent! Considering this game hasn't even been announced yet, a lot you can see in this video is likely not how it will look like in the finished project. One thing I noticed for example is the rather gory death of a creature at some point (it gets impaled through the chest). This is a lot more than most Harry Potter games have done in the past. Hoping it gets a 12+ rating at least so it won't be a kiddy game.

Here's the description:

Set in the 19th Century (1800's) Wizarding World, this 3rd person open-world action RPG game centers around your character with unique abilities who has eared a late acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

You are a newly arrived 5th year student to Hogwarts that demonstrates a latent gift for magic with a unique ability to track and identify remnants of a pottant ancient power. Upon arrival, strange events begin to materialize In the Forbidden Forrest and trouble begins o brew within the castle walls.

Together with Professor Elezar Fig, you embark on a journey through both familiar and never before seen locations to bring to light the truth behind these mysterious occurrences. I like this approach! Set a game in its own time so you won't interfere with any of the existing characters (other than Nicolas Flamel maybe ;) ) and be a completely unknown character in this world. The history of the wizarding world is really interesting and I'm looking forward to ever seeing this game released.

What are your thoughts? I know there must be other HP fans on here :)

This is one game, that I look forward to probably most, even more, than digimon survive. I look forward to making different choices in Harry Potter universe, and elaborated open game surroundings. I did not play Harry Potter games for a long time, and my most favorite games were I II III on PS2, I and II PC. I always wanted some more elaborated game about HP, not just about story of one book, so my dreams may finally become true, on PS5 there will be even more possibilities  :)

as a Potterhead myself, I'm so hyped for this! it looks like it'll be a fun game. Too bad we have to wait till next year to play it  :facepalm

I'm gonna bump this because no one has mentioned it.  I started playing the game about a month ago and it's been a long, long time since I played a game that was this much fun.  It took me back to my childhood and I had the dumbest grin on my face the whole time.  The story wasn't anything particularly special, but it wasn't bad either.  The combat and gameplay work well and the unforgivable curses were an unexpected surprise.  I think Sebastian's missions were the best part, story wise.  I( really enjoy flying around on my hippogriff and the graphorn was a lot more fun than I thought it would be for a ground mount.  All in all, a great game.  I
