You created this account in dedication of Judith Barsi purely, did you?

I could of only wished that she and her mother escaped the abuse that was taking place behind an iron curtain. I wonder how much harder it was to terminate a relationship than it would be today. Or was it something else that prevented them from leaving? What else that's interesting is that when Maria reported Jozef's accounts of threats and violence to the police, it was dismissed because of lack of evidence. Whereas today, they would believe her at single glance with no questions asked (basing that claim off of many, many anecdotes online). The police was right to not charge without evidence, because a person is innocent until proven guilty.
But! They needed to do more extensive investigation, which they failed to do. Josef was an alcoholic and arrested three times, dang it! So they should've had all eyes on him! It's also a shame that she dropped the CPS investigation in favor of only divorce, maybe their lives could've been saved if they continued with the original plan.
Despite Josef ceasing his drinking after the police incident, he still abused and threatened them, obviously showing that alcohol was not the culprit in this, and that he's an actual monster as a person. This story had such a tragic end.
