The Gang of Five
Well, that was an interesting twelve hours.  :bestsharptooth The forum should now be back up and running. Please don't hesitate to let us admins know if you run into any issues.

So, with all the Disney remakes doing well.

Exactly. Disney is milking IPs they already know have a lot of staying power. Things 30-40 something parents want to take their kids to see. Like The Lion King or Beauty and the Beast.

It pains me to say it but I wonder if the nostalgia factor for Land Before Time is as high as I used to think it was. I know a lot of people remember and love the original, but I see precious little buzz about it online.

I am convinced that Universal will return to LBT at some point but I don't think it'd be on the scale of something like the Disney remakes.

Like I said in another thread, if the new Jurassic World movie makes lots of money and receives lots of positive reviews, we may have a chance.

Oh that's a good point I didn't even consider!whenever a new Jurassic movie comes out there is always an upswing in dino interest. Universal might want to capitalize!

And if nothing else we might get a fast and the furious crossover haha

I am actually glad Disney doesn’t have their mouse gloves on LBT, and its still in their rival, Universal’s hands.

That could work! I gotta tell you though, I always felt this hypercartoony 2D-to-3D approach to character design felt a bit weird.

I'd love it if they did something like non-photorealistic rendering. Like that Disney' short, Paperman.

I think that could really work!
I think so too! It's the perfect compromise between the nostalgic 2D and the more modern 3D!
