can't believe that I have managed to find a LBT community
I'm Stardisk, 28 years old. I'm from Saint Petersburg, Russia. Sorry for spelling mistakes, if they are present.
I develop websites and pay mortgage.

Two weeks ago I rediscovered this great movie series, and I was very surprised that there are 14 parts, because I knew about only 4 or 5 parts.
Last time when I watched LBT was more than 20 years ago... And two weeks ago I accidentally saw an Littlefoot artwork on some entertainment site.
The old forgotten memories returned... I immediately googled info about LBT and found all the parts.
I can't convey in words what I felt while watching...
Even though I vaguely remembered contents of the first four parts, they impressed me stronger than 20 years ago... Other parts I watched for the first time and they also very impressed me...

I have been finding any LBT community for week, but they are completely absent in Russian Internet segment and social networks. Even Reddit can't offer me any active community. And finally, I noticed the link to this forum on the LBT wikia.
It seems there are almost no new members according to the member list. The member before me was registered more than 2 weeks ago.

Yeah, before discovering this forum myself, I too was perplexed that there weren't any active LBT Reddit communities either. But even so, I did discover there is an LBT subreddit that exists, but it's very inactive and it merely consists of meme posts. You can find it here if you desire to view it for yourself.

And nah, this forum doesn't receive new (active) members at all really, usually a few per year on average maybe.

LBT have been existing since 1988, and today there are a lot of people in the world, who remember it. I can't understand why its fandom has so low activity.

Land Before Time is a niche fandom. In fact, we are actually decently large fandom for a movie that was released 30 years ago and sequels (usually) get memed.

There are a cluster of small decentralized communities sprinkled here and there, but GoF is the primary centralized one. For example, there are a fair bit of individuals making art of the series on Deviantart, as you can see from the group linked (even though a fair portion of the people there are members here). LBT wiki has a community, though it's a different demographic, yeah. A bunch of people in Youtube, etc. It's nice to have a center stage community in the fandom.

Yeah, I agree it is quite unfortunate. You'd think at the very least there would be many small scattered communities of LBT fans, but alas the Gang of Five is the biggest and most active congregation of fans we have at the moment as far as I know.

And even with what Owls said above, this community itself is quite small relatively despite being the focal point of LBT. I don't know these other "clusters of small decentralized communities", but I reckon they must be very small relative to the size of this forum. Correct me if I'm wrong Owls.

Some years ago I registered on forums of some other niche fandoms, but today, unfortunately, all of them completely lose their activity... 
The web-resources still exist, but there are no any active users, only spam bots.

It's nice to have a center stage community in the fandom

Yeah, I grew fond of this place quite quickly given the welcoming nature of this community and the many fun and vigorous discussions we have of LBT and non-LBT related topics. You can tell how dedicated many people are here with the continuous innovation of fanart, fanfictions, OC's, and even forum emotes. There's quite a lot of them here as you can see.

There are 1090 members according to the members list. And I have never seen so many users in other found LBT-related communities.

Yep, yep, yep! That's quite a large amount indeed. Even though the amount of current active members is a drop in the bucket compared to that number, the amount of unique registered members is still a sight to behold regardless.

He's actually based off of an Ophthalmosaurus, a reptile actually. It's also a piscivorous species, so unbeknownst to the Gang, he's basically a Swimming Sharptooth...

That's quite saddening to hear dude. It's tragic irony to see a MLP fandom that is so far astray from the central lesson that the show portrays to its audience.

Yep, she's quite popular too. I like her more than Princess Celestia.

You are absolutely right. And many users know it.
I also remember a bit smaller Russian MLP community, but there was inadequate admin, who one day got angry and dropped the whole site without backups.
Russian MLP fandom is full of strange, inadequate, angry and hateful people. Irony as it is.

Unfortunately, I haven't created any LBT fanwork yet. But I have some MLP fanworks, and you can see a part of them on my old DeviantArt profile. It is sooooo old, that it has my previous and unused username, and contains my old works with quite bad quality.
But I lost access to it many years ago. Maybe I'll restore it somewhen.
