Character Showcase 2022: The Rise of the Films

Good evening, everyone!

The Character Showcase has now been going on for three years, and it has been incredibly successful in attracting active discussion into the community.  It never fails to attract a lot of discussion and debate concerning our favorite characters.  For this reason the Character Showcase will be renewed for its fourth Cold Time.

We have decided that 2022 will be a transition year from notable characters (which we are about to run out of    ) to general discussion of the LBT films.  From the legendary original film, to the introduction of Chomper in LBT 2, to the mysterious rainbowfaces in the seventh film, they will all be getting a showcase this year.

So without further commentary, here are the topics and rules for the 2022 Character and Film Showcase!

The characters/films to be showcased:
Jan - Mr. Thicknose
Feb - Etta
Mar - The Land Before Time (the original film)
Apr - The Land Before Time II
May - The Land Before Time III
Jun - The Land Before Time IV
Jul - The Land Before Time V
Aug - The Land Before Time VI
Sep - The Land Before Time VII
Oct - The Land Before Time VIII
Nov - The Land Before Time IX
Dec - The Land Before Time X

Rules:
1.Within each showcase topic, people can discuss the characters (or the films, as the case may be), post fanart involving them, or post short fanfics involving them.

2. To prevent the topic from being overburdened with long posts, any fanfic concerning the featured character should either be limited to less than 1500 words, or, if the story is longer than that, you should host it on a fanfiction hosting site and link it here with a brief description of the story. 

3. There will be no set contest for the resulting fanfics and fanart in the showcase topic (this is just for fun), but they can be cross-submitted to the respective prompt challenges if they also qualify for the active monthly prompt for that challenge. Also, regardless of qualification, the resulting showcase fanfics will be added to the fanfic prompt challenge masterlist as an addendum so that they can be recorded for posterity.

4. The showcase topic will not prevent the discussion of other characters/films elsewhere in the forum, but the discussion and fanworks in the showcase topic should be limited to the featured character/film.

5. And, of course, the usual forum rules shall apply.
