The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Just now, I went to watch some videos, and it shown the bar beneath the screen bright red, while it was loading. I clicked to see, and nothing will come up. I don't know what the problem is. Either the computer or just Youtube itself.

It's your computer.  What browser are you using and what version is it?

It's possible that you are no longer capable of streaming video on dialup anymore.  I don't know.  I haven't used dialup for many years.  If all else fails, use IE or firefox.  Just minimize the aol window and start a different browser.  It should work.

Sometimes with me, a video will get stuck at the start-up thing, and I have to reload the webpage before the video actually starts to load. Nothing permanent, though.

OH DEAR GOD! Now I don't think even Firefox will work! I tried to see a vid, and nothing came up. The comments & all that appeared just fine, but not the vid. I think I should just give up on it all!  :bang

Well, I can't have anything but dial-up. It's so stupid, my folks are such sheep to AOL and all of this crap. So, I'm basically out of luck here, huh?

YouTube videos load just fine for me on dial-up. Stupid slow, yes, but they do load. I heard they came out with a new version of Adobe Flash Player, so I'm going to go on the clichÈd route and say try downloading and installing the latest version of it.
