Hunter was upset, but she wouldn't show it. At least not while Cyrix was watching her every move. She then turned for a moment and noticed the hard, menacing glare he was giving her. She then bared her teeth and shouted "What is your deal?! I'm here to help! Do you have a personal grudge against me or something?"

Cyrix was silent for a few moments before shouting back "Yes, I do have a problem with you! My nephew calls you a friend, after you openly say you've been hunting our group, and now you want to be nice and helpful...well I'm not buying that lie for a moment! I will be watching you every step of our journey until the end, and hopefully when this is over, we won't see you again!"

Ecco couldn¥t believe what he was hearing from Cyrix. Okay, that¥s enough he said. He walked over to the two and stepped between them. Now, let her alone Cyrix. She just wants to help. Can¥t you be thankful? I can¥t see it if one of us is pushed down like that. That¥s not fair man.

Cayso gave a step forward too - "And what different was that from the way I acted?, I noticed your group coming in the same direction as we did far before Ecco noticed." - Cayso knew this could get him in problems, but since Ecco is doing the same, he continued, thinking that at least Cyrix will not do anything to his friend - "It is correct that I never stalked any of you, but what if Hunter did met Longtail in the past? for me, that is reason enough to stop any attempt to hunt any of you, so I could help a friend in need... at least, that's the way I think."

Cyrix took a moment or two to think about what he'd heard and thought over his response. After thinking about it he took a deep breath and said to Hunter aloud "I am only allowing you to join us, because the others speak the truth, and my nephew seems to remember you..." he paused for a moment and then continued.

"But show me one slip up...one reason to think you might endanger our herd, and you won't have to worry about helping anymore, because I will end you...right then and there...are we clear?"

Hunter blushed with embarrassment and nodded her head, as she turned around and said "Then let's go." in a sad and soft tone.

Cayso stared at Cyrix for a moment, he then turned around to meet with Ecco - "I suppose that for a Leaft-eater like you Ecco, to travel with Sharpteeth has to be worrying, even worse if there are already scars... but we all have scars after all." - he paused for a brief moment - "There has been already too much of a bloodshed in this journey, I hope there won't be more."

I hope so too Cayso. He walked to Hunter and tapped her on the shoulder. Don¥t worry. He is just scared about his nephew, that¥s clear, but I don¥t think he would hurt you. He just have a phase right now, where it is better not to going on his nerves that much.

"If you and Longtail are friends, why hunt a small herd that he is in?" Mim said. "Likely if you ate one of them it would hurt him since he may be friends with them." Diver decided it best that she not say anything. "though maybe it's best that, if anyone wants to talk about things to talk while we walk to the nightflowers and maybe after they have been gotten." Mim said.

Cayso heard what Mim said, and he went a little bit closer to her - "Well, I can just guess Hunter did not saw Longtail until she got very near to us due to him been tied to your back." - He then take a closer look at the Rainbowface - "I've been observing you since we first met, and you do have good ideas stored in that coloured head of yours..." - Cayso smiled - "... and I bet my brother would have a nice time chatting with you. And ... I feel better that you don't glare at me anymore".

"Well, I wasn't hunting you all, I was just kind of hoping you'd lead me to bigger prey. I could smell Longtail from inside the cave and knew he'd be with friends. I thought this would be easier, but it seems I was wrong."

Cyrix stood with his face showing no emotion. He frowned as a matter of fact and said "Too much bloodshed is right. I would like nothing more right now than to get this flower and help my nephew and Cayso's brother." He then started walking ahead and said "I believe I asked you to take point Hunter, please lead."

Hunter noted his voice was softer and less commanding, and she smiled as she replied "Of course."

"We will be there soon. Then we can get enough night flowers for everyone who needs one. It is unfortunate that they grow only here as far as anyone knows." Mim said. She then looked at Cayso, "Thanks for the compliment. It may be interesting talking to your brother, but I'm not sure how your brother would feel about talking to someone he likely regards as food. I would imagine most fast biters and sharpteeth are not as open minded as some of those here." She said with no dislike or sarcasm in her voice but more matter of fact.

"That will be nice, it certainly would." Diver nodded, "Then everyone who is sick can get better." She said.

"You have a point there Mim, but if I talk to him about you, he will not try to bite you. At least, I hope so." - Cayso said with a smile. - "But after what you are doing here to help me save Racnar, it is doubtful someone of my Herd will ever attempt to make any you any harm."

Cyrix then walked back over to the others and smiled as he said "Hunter says she knows a short cut through Sharptooth territory. I still dont' completely trust her, but if she can get us to the Night flower faster I say we take it."

Hunter then walked over to Ali's mother and asked "Do you think my shortcut is useable? I don't want to lose the others trust."

"Travelling while crossing other Sharpteeth's territories is always a risk, some of them will attack to try to get some food, others to protect their families." - He paused for a bit but not stoping his pace - "But most of them may think twice to attack us due to the size of this group." - Cayso was now frowning, even though he has been in this kind of situation before, it is never sure what will happen next.

"If I had known we would be traveling across many sharpteeths territory I would have asked my friends to come, to add to our numbers, and some sharpteeth I know, I certainly would." Diver said, remembering her friends that she had made on her way to catch up to where her family was after their separation after the earthshake and earth break.

"Have you met other Sharpteeth before?, because, groups like this one of both leaf-eaters and meat-eaters are most strange." - Cayso asked with much curiosity to the little Swimmer on Mim's back, and thinking that Swimmer may have lots to talk about with the friends he once met, and maybe even a chance to give them a message.

"I have." Diver nodded, "Though my sister's story of how she got to the great valley is more interesting then mine, it certainly is. I was separated from my family in an earthshake, and an earth break. On the same side as my family, unlike Ducky and the others who were on the other side, but I had fallen into the earthbreak and onto a small ledge. In getting back to the surface I met a young flyer with a long tail named Rin who had a rock on her that I pushed off. Later we met Mia, who is both a 4 and 2 footer. We met a young fastbiter who had been separated from his herd and family. It was scary, but he said we were ok since his herd didn't eat certain types of flatteeth, no kids, females or males who are part of a family, have a mate or are taking care of kids, and they like eating fish and certain other non talking things he didn't talk about. He said his great grandfather learned the flattooth language and taught the rest of the herd and made those rules. Or was it his great great grandfather." Diver said, briefly pausing before continuing, "We did not know where our families were since they had gone on, but he said he could smell them so we followed their smell. We eventually caught up with his herd and they helped us find our family where were not to far away. Since we helped him, his family & herd made us honorary members, honorary instead of full since we were going to live in what they called Flattooth Valley, that we call The Great Valley. We caught up with our families and went to the Great Valley, where My sister and Spike came along a bit later."

"Quite an interesting Story." Mim said.

"I didn't think so, no certainly not. That is why I didn't really tell anyone. My sisters is far more interesting." Diver said.

Cayso heard the story but he said no words, he just lowered his head trying to contain his tears. - "At least I am glad that Fastbitter had better luck than me, the reason my Herd learned the Flattooth language was to have better chances of hunting, and there was too many scars for the group I found to trust in someone like me, another lost boy trying to find his family.... or what was left of it." - For some reason, Cayso just wanted to grab Diver and give her a big hug, but he just smiled at her and returned to where Ecco is, his eyes still full of contained tears.

"Maybe if I ask them they'll let you live with them, if you wish to. I can certainly try. They taught us how to find them, and a special whistle to use to call to them." Diver said.

Cayso heard what Diver said - "That's very nice from you, but I do have a family and they are waiting for me and Ecco to come back. But it would be nice to get to know your friend, we may be able to be friends too maybe."
