Cyrix then shouted, "NOW Swiftclaw!" as he charged at Crusher hoping to catch him off guard. And indeed it worked, as the Red Horn was thrown off Longtail and stumbled backwards in defense of the sudden attack.

Longtail then gasped for air as he felt the pressure lift from his throat.

Crusher then asked, "What do you think you two are doing?!" facing both Cyrix and Swiftclaw separately.

"You attacked a friend, and you will pay for that" - Swiftclaw hissed, not knowing and not caring if the Redhorn could understand him or not.

Crusher smiled and tried to spear Swiftclaw with his horn, but missed.

Cyrix then grabbed Crusher by the tail and pulled hard, hoping to throw the Redhorn's target off of Swiftclaw.

Longtail however had taken the time to crawl away from the fight to regain his strength.

Swiftclaw saw what Cyrix did, and even though the Redhorn didn't stop his attack, he did slowed him down. The Fast-biter used the time to jump to a side and jump again up to the attacker's back and began using his claws to dig on his opponent's skin. But Crusher began moving too fast, trying to get rid of the Fast-biter, and succedded, with only some minor injuries.

Cayso sighed as he was beggining to get tired of waiting, he wants to return to the group and recover the flowers for his brother, but he cannot abandon his friends, so he made up his mind andd began running where Cyrix, Longtails and the others are - "I hope everything is fine." - the kid said to himself as he is now running at top of his speed.

Crusher was willing to do whatever it took to win, and this fight was no different. He turned back to face the two attackers and still held his trademark grin. "You two can't possibly hope to stop me from doing what fate has chosen for me...and bring freaks like that flyer of yours to justice!" he said with a laugh.

Cyrix unwilling to listen just stood his ground trying to think of any way to get out of this situation without hurting Crusher, or his nephew.

Crusher attempted to attack Cyrix, but at the last moment, Swiftclaw jumped again, managing to make the Redhorn to miss the Rainbowface, at that moment, some loud screech could be heard from the Fast-biter. - "Cyrix! Why are you hesitating! if you leave him live he'll just attack you and that Flyer again and again until he will eventually succeed!!."

No...., NOOO!! Brandor began to ran at his top speed towards Crusher. He jumped and tried to drill his claws in his skin. But he missed him very close. Brandor started a second try. This time he aimed with his teeth for Crusher¥s back and hoped to draw blood.

Swiftclaw saw Brandor attacking the Redhorn, so he decided to help him with the attack, jumping towards Crusher with bared teeth and claws.

Crusher could see he was on the losing end of a major fight, but all he wanted to do was get rid of the freak flyer...was that so much to ask for. Apparently it was as he moved his body out of the way of the two fastbiters attacking, and brought his horn around trying to run at least one of them through the belly with it.

Cyrix stood for a moment more and looked down to his nephew still sprawled on the floor and began to wonder if all this fighting was worth a single life.

"Yes...uncle...it is worth it. Every time." said Longtail in a weak and tired voice as he tried to stand up...but failing miserably. "J-just let me...go over...and talk to Crusher...and...I-I'll make him see....what he's doing....is wrong...please." Longtail begged.

Cyrix couldn't refuse his only nephew and nodded his head as he picked the flyer up and carried him over and shouted "STOP FIGHTING....please."

Swiftclaw managed to avoid Crusher's attack, but looked surprised at the Rainbowface and his Flyer nephew. - "Why do you want us to stop!" - the Fast-biter hissed.

At the time, Cayso arrived and saw the battle as it was developing, still he was able to hear Cyrix's claim, he stopped running and began walking near Cyrix and Longtail, curious about what the Flyer has to say.

Brandor, who was still in the air got catched by Crushers horn and was thrown away. He landed with his back first on the ground and got dizzy, but he was able to stand up again. He didn¥t start a second attack because Cyrix told them to stop. He got some distance from Crusher walked over to the others and remained there.

Cyrix while still holding his nephew said aloud.
"Longtail wants the chance to try and talk to you Crusher and make you see that you've been wasting your time trying to hurt him."

Crusher only laughed in response and took a step forward, but almost immediately regretted it as Longtail suddenly jumped into action and landed right in front of the Redhorn.

"You will listen and listen well Crusher! I am tired....tired of the fighting, the hate, and most importantly how much you belittle me. I know for a fact that what happened the first time we met wasn't my fault or yours, but you have to let it go...what would your mate think of you now if she saw what you were doing?"

Crusher looked stunned at the kids words. He took a step back and sighed.
"I-I suppose you're right....but I still don't like you...I've never liked you, and I would still like to see you smashed into the ground where you stand....but I won't be the one to do it...no. Not anymore, I'm sorry for the trouble I caused, but the next time we met I'll....try to act better."
And with that he turned and started to walk away.

Both Longtail and Cyrix gave sighs of relief as Crusher disappeared behind a cluster of rocks.

"Told you it would work uncle." Said Longtail with a smile.

Swiftclaw get closer to Brandor and told him with a grin. - "It seems this is not one of your best days. Are you ok?"

From behind Cyrix and Longtail, another voice could be heard - "Then this means I worried about you for nothing?" - The voice belongs to Cayso, who saw all what happened while having his arms crossed and showing a sly grin.

Seems like, Brandor answered to both: Cayso and Swiftclaw, while holding his back. But I am glad it¥s over now.

"Yes, I'm glad too..." - Swiftclaw replied - "... but I was hoping I would be able to eat some real food tonight, and not those Crawlers." - the Fast-biter said with a small laugh.

"With the hunger I have I may eat an entire Longneck, so you'll be lucky if you can have a piece." - Swiftclaw laughed. He then looked at the smaller Fast-biter. - "Why don't you join us in the hunt!."

Cayso smiled and nodded in a negative way - "The offer sounds very tempting, but I am in a hurry, my brother needs the Night-flowers too. But I am sure to join you in the future."

Cyrix and Longtail both nodded almost simultainously as they heard what Cyaso had said about his brother needing the night flowers. Cyrix then stepped forward and said aloud, "Well then, what are we waiting for Cayso? You and I will take the remaining Night Flowers back to our group and see if we can get these to your brother." He then turned to Longtail and Swiftclaw.
"You two may go hunting if you so wish, just be careful...I don't want to have to come save you again!"

Longtail laughed as he said, "Please uncle...have a little faith will you? I may be small but I know what I'm doing...I did learn from the best after all." He then faced Swiftclaw and asked,
"Are you ready to go hunting?"

Swiftclaw looked at Longtail and grinned - "You don't know me kid, I am always ready for a hunt." - he then looked at Brandor and Darkness - "are you two coming too?."

Cayso looked at Cyrix and nodded - "Let's go then, I bet Ecco and Mim must be worried about us." - before begining walking back to the group, Cayso looked at Longtail and told him - "Be careful, the Night Flowers are powerful, but don't push your luck!."

Longtail looked at Cayso for a moment and laughed.
"I make my own luck...so you don't need to worry about me!"

Darkness thought about it for a moment longer and then shook his head. "No...I'm going to return with Cayso and Cyrix. I'm also going to try and make a good first impression with the other flatteeth of their herd...I do have a feeling this isn't going to end well."

Cyrix stepped forward and said, "Well then Longtail, if you make your own luck...then I shouldn't have to say it..."

Longtail blinked and asked, "Say what?"

Cyrix smiled broadly and replied, "Good luck!"
