As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

We get Fingerhut catalogs all of the time. It just happens. For those who don't know what it is, look here. Anyway, I was looking at a few items and their prices in a catalog, and even I was impressed by how high they were. A PlayStation 2 costs $199.99. Wal-Mart's (and, really, just about anywhere else) price? $129 something. An Nintendo DS Lite goes for $199.99. Wal-Mart's price? Around $130. A Wii at Fingerhut is a staggering $399.99. Wal-Mart's price? $249 something. Wow. Wow.

Does anybody here get Fingerhut catalogs, or know what they are?

My grandmother use to get them decades ago, they were fun to look through but things were pretty pricey as I recall.   I wonder if it is due to their charging the official price for things instead of less like some stores do.
