Hunter's lip was quivering...

She was expecting a ring, but a pendant to boot...that was the one thing she didn't see coming...she was struck speechless as she stuttered "S-sieg...i-i-it's....beautiful..." She then raced forward and grabbed him in a bear hug of emotions as she stared at the pendant and ring combo and prayed that her 24K gold ring with a quartz stone would be enough.

Tex faintly smiled as she finally slipped into unconsciousness. Although she was out of it Tex was still happier than she'd ever been in her live...she was in love for the first time...and as far as she knew, she was still going to have a child...she just hoped nothing was wrong when she awakened.

Sieg smiled at Hunter, hugging her back.
"So. It's official. We're engaged now. This is the most wonderful day of my life!"
He laughed, sliding the ring onto his finger and kissing Hunter on the cheek....

Dante revved the cycle's engine, silently cursing at it to go faster. He wove through the traffic expertly, dodging cars as he raced desperately towards the Hospital...

Hunter was so happy that for a moment after Sieg kissed her she was frozen in place, and then she smiled brightly and kissed Sieg back. She then slid the ring onto her finger and asked "Would you mind putting the pendant around my neck and clasping it please...my mate."

She then said aloud "I've only been this happy once in my entire life ya know?"

A doctor working at the nearby hospital was walking out to his car mumbling something about interns being completely retarded when he heard the sound of a motorcycle coming down the street. He squinted his eyes to try and see the driver, and he cried "OH CRAP! D-DANTE!!!! Gotta hide!"

He then ran back inside praying that Dante hadn't seen him. But then something caught his mind as he said "I thought I saw someone on his bike just now with him?"

Sieg took the pendant, which was in the shape of a Forget-Me-Not, with a single sparking sapphire at the center, and lovingly clasped it around Hunter's neck.
"I can imagine. It's not every day that you find someone who you love more than anything, is it?"
He said quietly , wrapping his arms around her as he did so...

Dante, meanwhile, skidded the cycle to a stop, and ran towards the door, holding Tex in his arms.
"Doc! Let me in! Please! I don't know what's wrong with my...with my mate, but she was vomiting blood and she's unconcious! Please, let me in!"
He yelled, looking at the door...

Hunter smiled as Sieg wrapped his arms around her, and said "No...this type of day is one that should be remembered for years to come..." she sighed as she said "I love you so much Sieg...I always feel safe when I'm near you...no matter what's happening."

The doctor looked at Dante, then at Tex and shouted "TEX?!" he then looked back up at Dante and said "Why didn't you say her name before? Let's get her to the ER NOW! FOLLOW ME!" the doc. then began running down the hall knowing just where to go, and hoping Dante would be right behind him.

Sieg leaned in closer to Hunter, letting his face rest next to hers.
"And I know I will never forget today."
He then brought one arm up to the back of Hunter's head as he whispered...
"When I'm with you...it's like I can see, and feel, the goodness of people again. It's...wonderful..."

Dante raced after the doctor, his boots clicking on the floor as he raced her towards the ER...

Hunter blushed deeply as she heard what Sieg had said and she responded by saying "When I'm with you...I can feel....the love of all my old friends who...died...that day....shining through you...I know they will never forget me, and neither will you...and for that...I thank you...my mate."

Hunter then reached around and kissed Sieg's cheek.

At that moment Tex moaned in pain. She then stuttered out "W-water....broke...coming..."

Luckily for her the doctor heard her confession and said "Now we have even less time!" As if a silent prayer had been answered they reached the ER with a full staff standing by for moments like this. He then gave them the situation.

"We have a pregnant female whose water just broke...we have no time! Let's move people!" Seconds later the ER became a hive of activity as the doctor called Dante over and said "Place Tex down on the bed here."

He then looked Dante in the eyes and asked "You don't remember me do you Dante?"

Sieg grinned as Hunter kissed him, and he said in return..
"And having you here...makes me think that Siela is still watching out for me."
He said, kissing her on the lips...

Dante looked the doctor over. Something told him that they had met before, but the exact memory escaped him.
"Sorry. I don't. But I do know we've met before. I just can't remember where..."
Dante replied, trying to recall...

Hunter felt Sieg kissing her lips and she didn't even think to pull away. In fact she only pressed harder, as she opened her eyes and smiled. As they broke the kiss, she asked a question that had been on her mind for a while...

"D-do you think...about having...children of our own...someday?"

The Doctor smiled nervously as he said "Yeah...uhhh...I suppose being shot in the head would cause some memory loss, but uhh...I was the guy who closed that hole in your head...and accidently gave you that scar above your eye...but it's nice to see that after all this time its almost healed."

He then noticed Tex was smiling...even though she was technically unconscious and going into labor. he then said

"Well would you look at that...she's smiling...I think she's either really in love, or she's crazy."

Sieg thought for a moment, then nodded,saying...
"Yeah. I do. And I think that when we do have them, they'll be just as beautiful as their mother..."

Dante looked at the Doctor, then touched the scar before responding...
"Oh. I never thanked you properly for that, did I? Now this is two I owe you."
Then he looked at Tex, who was indeed smiling, and added...
"In love or crazy? Aren't those kinda similar? Besides, this is Tex. I think it's a little of both, regardless."

Hunter blushed and smiled as she listened to Dante speak and she replied "If there as beautiful as I am...then they may just as stubborn as you are...that'll be an interesting time to see when they become teenagers." She then began to laugh at the thought.

The doctor sheepishly smiled and said "yeah, you can pay me back for those later, right now your mate is going into surgery." He then smiled and said aloud, "Ya know, this IS Tex, she may just be both...like you said. But I gotta ask, who is she in love with...it couldn't be you. You said you'd never settle down..."

The doctor then laughed and said "Ya know, for all the wounded you bring in here Dante, I should start paying you a commission check."

Dante smirked, then added...
"And I bring in all those people because I don't like the concept of being a killer. Strange, huh?"
He asked, looking at the surgery room door anxiously...

Hunter smiled and said "Yeah...the cultist have to be the first to go down...and then several others that I have on my hit list." She then stood up and said "Well I guess we should go tell Dante and Tex the winner of the eating contest huh?"

The doc smiled and said "Yeah, you not a killer that's just funny. I seem to remeber that one patient you brought in with you that almost had their limb cut clean through...your lucky that sword of yours was red hot and burned most of the wound closed or they might have bled to death."

The doc then turned his head as a nurse came out of the ER, with a sad smile on her face. She was trembling as she stuttered "I-I think...both of you...will want to come..and see this."

The doctor looked over to Dante and ran towards the door wondering what the nurse meant.

Hunter reached for the door handle, and noticed something. "Hey...it's too quiet out there...you don't think...something happened to them do you?"

Tex was laying on the table, covered in a fair amount of blood, but she was smiling with her eyes wide open looking at the ceiling. As she noticed the door burst open to show Dante and the Doc...she smiled brighter and said in a weak voice...

"D-Dante...he's...all ours...t-to raise...and....take care of."

At that moment the nurse walked towards Tex and said to Dante "If you had let me finish this earlier I would've shown you this sooner." She then unwarpped a baby.

This baby looked like her mother, but in place of pink skin it was a dull grey, and along her belly was the pink coloring of her mother. The baby was sleeping, and looked so peaceful.

Tex shed a tear and said "I...havent' named her...yet....I thought we should...ya know...do it together..."

Sieg shook his head, unsure.
"We'd best be careful. Something may have happened to them. But I hope not. In any case, let's at least find out..."
He said, reaching for the hilt of his sword...

Dante stammered, looking at the newborn child...
"Tex...She's beautiful."
He finally managed to say, then regained some of his composure and said...
"I dunno about a name. The only one I can think of is Eva. What about you, love?"
He asked, looking her in the eyes...

Hunter creaked open the door and stumbled back as her nose was hit with a sour and sicking smell and she cried out "Holy! What the heck is that stench?! It's horrible..."

But after several seconds decided that finding Tex and Dante was more important she stepped out into the hallway and noticed the smell getting stronger the closer she got to the bathroom.

She looked inside and almost fainted from the sight of the bathroom...but she knew immeditaely as well that something was wrong and said to Sieg "I think they may be hurt...we have to find out where they are!"

Tex smiled as she slowly sat up, and was given the baby. She smiled brighter as she replied to Dante "I think I have a better one...Deva...in honor of her new father...Dante."

"If you're looking for Dante, he's not here. He took that other girl and headed to the hospital. I don't entirely know what was wrong with her, but she looked like she was in a bad way..."
Lady stepped out from behind the stairs, addressing Sieg and Hunter.

"Which hospital? And who are you?"
Sieg asked, drawing his blade warily...

Dante said the name aloud, thinking for a moment before beaming and saying...
"That's a great name, Tex. I'm sure that she'll grow up to be as wonderful a person as you are."
Then he brought his face next to Tex's, adding...
"And I'll always be there as he father...my love..."

Hunter smiled as she put a hand on Sieg's shoulder and addressed Lady by saying "Long time no see, Lady...so you still being the oppressive, over charging, and critical landlord I remember? Or did you take my present as a warning?"

Then she realized that Lady had said the word hospital...and she said a little more worried..."You said Tex was in a bad way...Is she okay...what happened?"

Doc smiled at the scene before him but noticed Tex yawning. He then put his doctoral degree to work by saying "I'm sorry Dante, but Tex does need her rest, the baby will stay with her for now, and unless she says otherwise, you will have to leave."

Upon that moment Tex reached out and grabbed Doc by the pants and said "Dante leaves...and you won't be having anymore children....am I clear?!"

Doc stuttered out "P-perfectly ma'am!"

Sieg looked at Lady, then sighed, shook his head, and put his blade away, saying...
"Good to meet you. Where were the two of them headed, again?"

Lady thought for a moment, then responded by saying...
"They were headed towards the Aspen hospital. You know where that is right? All I know is that the Stego was unconscious when Dante left. Oh, and Hunter? I left that job a while ago. I'm a vigilante now, like Dante and the others that are against the cult..."

Dante pulled up a chair, seating himself next to Tex, placing a kiss on her cheek.
"Thanks Tex. I'll stay here as long as you want me to. Because I love you, and I love our new daughter. Our Deva..."
