Deva then tried in vain to struggle out of Tex's hands, but Tex did get the message and put the baby on the floor and watched as Deva crawled across the floor with joy.
"I always thought having a child would be burden, but with everyone here, and happy I think my life may just be perfect." said Tex aloud.

Hex stared at the floor for a moment and then said "well then, lets go. I've got the Root Beer if you get the ice cream Virgil."

Dante looked in awe as Deva crawled along the floor.
"She's learning pretty fast, huh Tex? Already crawling and all that..."
He said proudly...

Virgil grinned.
"All right. Let's go..."
He said, grabbing a small tub of Ice Cream from a nearby table...

Tex smiled and repleid...
"Yeah, she is. I couldn't be anymore proud than I am right now."

As Hex grabbed a bottle of Root Beer and one really big coffee mug she glanced over and noticed Rocker acting rather strange. She then asked:
"Hey doc, you okay? You look kinda nervous during a party like this...what's up?"

Rocker who for the last ten minutes had been pacing back and forth, with sweat beading down his face turned and said...
"Oh it's...ya know...business as usual."

Hex didn't look the least bit convinced as Rocker sighed and said
"Okay...I'm expecting a friend of mine...and if I've learned anything from you guys...my friend is going to probably come in through the window in about three seconds."

Sure enough three seconds later, the glass window next to the bathroom door exploded into shards and flew across the floor.

In place of the window was a cloaked figure, but the figure was horribly short...too short to be an adult by any standards, stood up and removed the hood covering their heads only for Rocker to go running over and picking up the apparent child in his arms and saying:

"Welcome back kiddo!"

From below the windowsill, a girl's voice called out...
"Hey! Y'know it's not cool to just leave me out here! Sieg? Tex? Anybody gonna see about giving me a hand?"
Arcia yelled, irritated that the kid that she had just brought there had just ditched her...

Virgil and Dante both looked at Rocker curiously.
"Um...Who is that exactly?"
The pair asked in unison...

Rocker turned with a shy smile on his face and said "Heh...this..is my daughter!"

The child in his arms said with a smile:
"Just call me Kiddo! I'm cool with that." Then as an after thought she said "Its nice to meet everyone!"

After hearing the voice from outside Kiddo bounded from Rockers arms and ran to the window and giggled as she replied:
"oops...sorry! Here grab the rope!"

A pink and rather recent looking rope was dropped from Kiddo's robe and she smiled as she turned and asked:
"Can I get some help here?"

Dante grabbed the rope, then pulled up as soon as he felt Arcia tug on it. A moment later, she stood in the room, a small smile on her face.
"Well, it's good to see everyone! Where are Sieg and...Oh. Let me guess. They're having some private fun, huh?"

She then smiled at Kiddo.
"Thanks for helping me get here! I don't know where I'd've been if you hadn't!"

She then jumped slightly in place, asking...
"So, um...what're we all doing?"

Rocker the picks up Kiddo who giggled as she said:
"Well it looks like a party! I love parties!"

Rocker laughed and said "Yep thats right we are having a party, but I do have one question Kiddo, why did you feel the need to come through the window? You know that was dangerous."

Kiddo smiled sheepishly as she said "Yeah I know, but it was fun!" She then turned to Arcia and said "No problem...besides you're the one with all the fighting experience, that and you've been training me...so I kinda owe you one!"

Hex smiled and said "So is there anyone else in this room with a family secret...cause I don't know how many more interruptions I can take...now if you'll excuse me...Virgil and I have a Root Beer float to share!" She then sat down and smiled at Virgil.

Arcia nodded.
"It's not a biggie! I'm just glad we found everyone!"

Virgil smiled at Hex, sliding down into his own seat, and he said...
"Well, I have one, but...that doesn't really matter now. Does it, Dante?"
He asked his brother, smiling...

Tex smiled at Virgils comment and said "I guess not."

Kiddo smiled and cried:
"Uncle K!" She then all but bulldozed Killer to the ground and gave him a bear hug.

Killer was smiling even as he was having a hard time breathing...apparently Kiddo had quite the iron grip. "Uhhh...Kiddo...can't...breath."

She then let go and stuttered "Sorry Uncle K."

Hex looked over and asked "Uncle K?"

Killer smiled and said "Another conversation for another day."

Kiddo then squealed as she ran over the table holding the ice cream and cake, and swiftly took a bowl and gathered what she wanted.

Dante smiled at Kiddo's enthusiasm.
"Well, it's good to meet the daughter of the guy who saved my life! Name's Dante. Dante S. Starfall. And that over there is..."

Virgil cut him off, introducing himself.
"And I'm his older brother, Virgil. It's good to meet you."

Kiddo smiled with a piece of cake in her mouth as she turned and tried to say hello, but all that came out was the chunk of cake that was in her mouth. She giggled nervously as Rocker stared at her.

Kiddo quickly picked up the cake she'd dropped and said "It's nice to meet you both!" She then looked over to Dante and asked "DId my dad really save your life?"

Dante nodded, pointing to the small scar above his right eye.
"Yep. See this? Someone I know shot me in the head, and your dad managed to get the bullet out. Left a bit of a scar, but, hey. I'm still alive, right?"

Virgil nodded.
"This someone wouldn't happen to be Arkham's daughter Mary, would it?"

The door popped open with some force, Lady having just kicked it open.
"Never. Say. That. Name. Around. Me!"
She fumed at Virgil, eye twitching somewhat...

After the 'greeting' if it could be called that by Lady. Everyone was a bit perpexed at what had just happened, and Hex was the first to ask:
"What...what's wrong with the name Mary...I think it's cute!"

Kiddo having no idea who Lady was immediately ran over to Dante and hid behind him in case something went wrong.

Tex just sighed and tired to quiet down Deva who had begun to cry after the door was 'gently' opened. Deva cried for a few moments but settled down when the room became quiet.

Dante shook his head.
"Good grief. Can you at least try for not scaring the living daylights out of everyone for once, Lady?"

Virgil looked a bit afraid as he mumbled an indistinct apology, before Lady spoke.
"Sorry about that. It's just that...that was the name my father gave me. My father, who happens to be with the Cult. Speaking of which..."

She drew two pistols, aiming at Virgil and Killer.
"What the hell are you two doing here?"
She menaced...

Kiddo, now being angry that her new friends were getting guns pointed at them, she ran forward and tackled Lady's legs hoping to bring her down. She then said "They are my friends...don't hurt them!"

Killer did the smart thing and backed up as he waited for a response from someone else in the room.

Lady fell heavily, guns sliding across the floor. Dante looked at the one next to his foot, then kicked it away, looking at Lady.
"Y'know, it's kinda rude to point guns at people you barely even know, Lady. I think you should be apologizing right about now..."

Lady gave an irritated growl, then muttered that she was sorry through clenched teeth.
Virgil looked at her, then shook his head.
"Still have the temper, eh, Lady?"
He asked, eye ridge raised...

Arcia looked around, then shook her head at the group and went to grab a bite of cake...

Just as Hex was going to reply Tex smiled and said:
"Well then Lady, I suggest you be a little nicer to the newest members of our team."

Kiddo smiled as she joined Arcia for more cake. She just couldnt' get enough!

Deva was sleeping soundly when Killer walked over and gently took her from Tex and held her close.

Hunter was still wide awake...she couldn't sleep after such strenuous 'exercises'. She just smiled and waited for Sieg to say something...or wake up..which ever came first.

Lady sputtered incoherently for a moment, then finally managed to say
"These two? What makes you think that they can be trusted? Helloooooo... they tried to kill you!"
She yelled at them, eyes expressing disbelief...

Sieg cracked one eye open and smiled at Hunter.
"That...was amazing...my love..."
He said, planting a small kiss on her cheek...

Hex sighed and said "Yeah, Lady the key word in your sentence just like mine was the word TRY. They tried, they failed, oh yeah...and Killer is the father of Deva over there." She then pointed to Killer who still held Deva in his arms and was smiling while doing so.

Killer looked up for a moment and his eyes showed nothing but peace and love for his daughter and as he locked eyes with Lady his eyes still showed only compassion for everyone in the room.

Hunter blushed as she felt Sieg kiss her. She then stated:
"Perhaps it would be best if we got back to the others...besides...I wanna give someone else a slice of that cheese cake we left in the elevator."

She then gave a sly smile as she stepped out of bed with the covers over her body and stepped into the bathroom. She then stated "I need to clean up for a moment."

Virgil nodded.
"I, too...have my reasons for joining the side of the light. Let's just say that it is because I...realized the gravity of my sins."

Dante nodded.
"Admit it, bro. You just got lonely, didn't you?"

Virgil looked at Hex for a moment, then nodded, blushing.
"I guess...that I was. I didn't know it until now, though."
