I thought that since they are at Ducky & Diver's home and nest area she should be in a cameo. Though I don't plan on bringing her into this rp. Better handling then the LBT folks do with their characters who vanish to never be seen if their not a part of the plot.

Okay, so since the grownups are coming to Pytra, they're probobly going to tell Ptyra about her dad. Who wants to be which grownup? Also we're going to have to pull Pterano into this...I've got quite a lot of good ideas due to my "important plot points" so could I be Pterano too?

Has it even been 5 cold times. Wouldn't that put the kids in their early teens or so? Perhaps the best 2 fc adults would be one of Littlefoot's grandparents and Petrie's mother, they would likely be the best understanding and such. Mim is staying where she is since she's sure she is not needed and only knows of things second hand. Ducky and Littlefoot are playing.

1 idea, like I mentioned much earlier is if Pterano has to be encountered he can be even before the 5 cold times are over if the gang ever leaves the great valley then he can pop up at any time. He may be banished from the great valley for 5 cold times but they never said, you can't approach any great valley resident for the same 5 cold times even if you see them outside the great valley.

Perhaps, but it's up to the gm of the thread if it has or not. They could always meet him once they get outside the great valley since I assume they will at some point. In most adventures and stories they do, though not in every one. It also sounds like the important plot points could be a separate rp thread of it's own rather then putting several into one rp thread, though that is up to the gm.

Well, the GM makes many decisions, but unless we agreed at the start of the RP to make the GM omnipotent, shouldn't there be a vote on what the scene is?

sorry, i forgot to mention all of this.

we will end up leaving the great valley, because the stone lands in the mysterious beyond. since pterano was banished there, we could meet up with him.

we're going to have it set that one of the cold times have passed instead of all five.

Also, Ptyra was talking about how:
1. Pterano told her that her mother was attacked by a 'swimming sharptooth' and was drowned by it. That's half a lie. She was attacked, but she wasn't drowned
2. Pterano told her that she was the only child...that was wrong. Egg stealers tried to take Ptyra and her siblings as eggs, but when Pterano came to stop them, (following my fanfic) Ozzy drops one egg, breaking it, Strut lost his grip on on and it fell in the water, then Ozzy made off with the third, leaving Ptyra's egg

Some lies have to be settled, which is why Pterano has to come into this, because these were some MAJOR lies that he told her-things that she HAD to know. Plus, Ptyra's BEGGING to know about her dad and DESPERATE to see him. She hasn't seen him since the Great Earthshake and has no idea about his fate.

Then I admit it is a very long time, because we are talking about the catacylsmic earthshake from the first movie and even after Pterano's banishment in LBT7. I think I could understand why Ptyra wants to find his father so badly and all comments about the happenings about the first stone of cold fire can make the character even more impatient.... and hopefully that will not bring many more problems.

I also do not understand why so many folks seem to want to introduce their own plots into the rp thread of another when certain of the plot stuff could be an rp thread of their own. Not aiming that at Ptera, but it's a trend I've noticed lately. Feels like while watching say LBT 4 LBT 7's plot was shoved in also. It seems a trend recently for some reason.

I can understand her wanting to see her father. Likely if the group leaves the great valley, if the gm says it's ok, he could appear at some point, wether since he sees her, or if the group is attacked by some sharpteeth, or something else happens and he sees leaf eaters in trouble he comes to help them or something, then they can meet and have a private talk. Maybe Ptyra can pm the gm whatever details and they can discuss it, or discuss it here, up to the two of them. Though if the gm says no to Pterano appearing it may mean Ptyra will have to use another rp thread that that gm says is ok, or start one of it's own.

Then you can have no Pterano, the gm can do stuff like that. Again not an attack on anyone person but I have noticed folks bringing in a plot focused on their character into another rp thread, even without them pming the gm first. In many cases they should and could do their own rp thread instead of trying to force another gm to accept their rp thread within their own. It's starting to get annoying. Again not aiming this at Ptyra, but just mentioning a trend I've noticed lately.

Maybe Ptera does want to see her father, but she may have to wait till the 5 cold times are over and Pterano returns on his own. I don't mean this to come across as harsh, I don't mean it that way. She likely would miss her father and would want any news she could get about him and may wonder why he did this or that.
