Cynder blushed brightly and glared at Stripetail. It was the same glare she had given most of her minions shortly before she executed them. Of course, that was when she had been evil...

She decided to take the first shot at the shurlup, just to prove to Spyro that she wasn't completely helpless. She spat a glob of poisonous liquid at the creature.

The poison did wonders on the Shurlup. it began to vomit black bllood, as the poison rushed inthough the many mithril related cuts.

Cynder smirked smugly and flicked her tail, a gesture which might be akin to a human dusting off their hands.

"Good work, Cynder," Spyro said.

"Is it over?" Sparx asked, peering over the top of the stove.

'Not Yet. The Shurlup isn't dead yet. " Nick said. the Shurlup's body shook and out of it poped five small Shurlups. These hissed in small sqeeky voices at the onlookers, who were partly repulsed by the fact that this Shurlup had just givebn birth in front of them

Cynder frowned in disgust at the sight.

One of the shurlups slipped in a puddle of the poisonious liquid had spat and coughed as the poison seeped though his skin. The venom had lost some of its potency though and the creature got back up, though it was shakey on its feet.

"I miss the monkeys," Sparx sighed.

"Don't harm them" stripetail said suddenly. "They are infants, and are as innocent as the newborn of any species. He went over and picked up the poisoned Shurlup babe. It was an odd sight, with the old squirell holding the infant Shurlup. Once you got past the appearances, with their smudged faced, horrible breath, and sharp teeth, they were actually quite cute. the shurlup gigled and hiccuped , spatttering drippy vomit onto Stripetail's shoulder.

"Oh, sure," Sparx said. "They're cute now, but before you know it they're all grown and then they're chewing up your slippers, clawing the furniture... oh, and mauling you to death!"

"Be quiet, Sparx," Spyro said, cautiously approaching one of the little shurlups.

Nick Looked carefully at the Shurlup, then started preppingthe pans for cooking.

Both Scooby and Dixie hesitantly picked up a shurlup infant and began rocking then back and forth. "Almost like having Children of our own" Dixie said. She then realized the full impact of what she had said... "Er.. almost" She said blushing.

The two remaining Shurlups approached Spyro and Cynder looking at them with curiousity and wonder. they held out their arms, in front of them, as a human toddler would. "They adapt very quickly, and seem to have a certain level of intelligence' Stripetail said, wiping off some of the spittle the Shurlup babe had thrown up on him.

Spyro chuckled a bit at what Dixie had said and then wrapped his tail around the shurlup in front of him and lifting it into the air, before setting down on his back.

Cynder didn't take too quickly to the shurlup though. "So they're smart?" she'd rather hoped that their enemy would be little more than dumb beasts.

As the others waited back in the office, Kenji began to wake up, his strength just barely coming back to him. "What year is it?" he asked after a yawn.

"Don't worry," Talon replied. "You're not in a coma again."

"Yeah, You're just in time for breakfast, Shaggy said. "Nick's out in the kitchen cooking right now. And I'm starved..." Shaggy had eaten since yesterday, but his high metabolism erequiured constant food.

Yes thay can be quite smart, but we can raise these Shurlupsds so that they are not as much of a threat. Turn an enemy into an ally. It helps that we'll be serving as their surrogate parents' stripetail said. He let the Infant Climb onto his shoulder as he moved over to the dead mother Shurlup. "Shurlup females like many females have mamary glands from with their young nurse. Be extracting some from the mother we can create a synetic version of Shurlup milk."

Spyro went about pushing debris out from the center of the room, the shurlup riding around on his back.

"So basically it's like having a pet wolf," Sparx said as he hovered over to the shurlup near Cynder. The shurlup grinned and batted a hand at the dragonfly, pinning him against the floor. "Ah, help! It's got me!"

Scooby laughed at the sight of the Shurlup toying with Sparx. He had pretended not to catch Dixie's coment lest he embarass her. "Rust ra rip rof rhe roungue, right" he said quietly to Dixie. "It Didn't come out like I had intended.." She admitted, as the Shurlup climbed up onto her shoulder, and pawed at her helmet.

Not knowing what to do or say Douglas found a place to sit and remained quiet and waited as he kept watch, looking around and keeping his ears strained for any sounds of possible danger.

"Douglas, you hold onto this Shurlup for awhile, " Stripetail said, taking the Shurlup off of his shoulder and sitting it on his lap. "I need time to extract milk from the mother, and enough to feed these cubs until they are full. And that isn't going to happen with the little fella here schratching at my robes and face."

Douglas nods and tries to gently pat it and decide what to do. "uh, sure." He said not sure what to do to keep it entertained.

Nick was now making the first batch of eggs. The eggs were kept in a cupboard across from the ovens, and luckily the eggs were nearly all intact. those that werent would be used to make batter.

"Oh, for the love of-," Sparx grunted as the shurlup pushed its paw down harder. "Some one help me!"

Cynder sighed and flapped her wings. She grabbed the shurlup with her feet and slowly flew over to Nick. She set the shurlup down on the counter.

Sparx meanwhile retreated as far away from the infant shurlups as the room would allow him to.

Stripetail began to milk the mother Shurlup who was starting to stiffen as rigor mortis took over. the milk was faint green in color, and had the smell of old socks. Stripetail watched as the visl began to fill slowly.

Alright Cynder. The First batch of eggs will be for you' Nick said, flipping the eggs over. "Or do you not like eggs>?"
