The Tourist then flicked another switch on the console, "could you folks come to the console room quickly, I'll explain once you're here." he said into the communications then turned back to Ali.

"I'm glad I met you, wish I could take you up on your offer, but due to a minor problem I'll have some paperwork to do." He said, not wanting to get her worried of the seriousness of the problem of the tardis. Parts of it hooking up to another spot on another world in another universe when he was parked and not in the time vortex and the entry doors already linked to another universe was very bad indeed. Jolee's sensitivity had picked up on it & it must be bad indeed to not just have happened but for the tardis to not tell him or issue a general warning or anything.

(OOC: Am I correct in assuming that the warning was issued to and only heard by those still in the tardis? If I'm incorrect then I'll edit this post.)

Cynder glanced over at Stripetail with an odd expression on her face. She hadn't quite expected such a reaction from him when he eventually found out about the bet.

"Hey, I thought the deal was for us to dress up and then you could take a picture of us," Spyro said.

No, that was for you guys taking a picture of us.'Dixie replied. "We never said anything about taking a picture of you. although that might be a good idea. And Stripetail, If the boys win, Cynder and I will have to.. " She whispered in his ear.. Stripetail gave her a weird glance then a smile appeared on his face. "Alright, this is a contest for pride. 5 contests, best of 5 wins. and there can be ties..If Dixie and Cynder win, then Scooby and Spyro will have to wear Dixie's dresses for awhile. If Scooby and Spyro win, well Dixie and Cynder will have to do something, that I'm not really comfortable discussing openly in front of Lilo. lets just say they'll get to know each other really well.."

(isn;t there an insane cafe 2 Thread in Discussions? I'm pretty sure I set one up about a year ago. It cuts down on OCc conversations like this.. oh well. He's refering to the warning the tardis was supposed to give off if something bad happened.. and creeating windows into other dimensions is BAD..)

(OOC: I looked but could not find one. As for the Tardis thing, I assumed that is where you wanted things to go with the Tourist and his friends since his tardis had a part of it that hooked or connected to, or whatever, with stripetail's castle, when it was connected to the cafe. 2 different places, I assume in different universes or times, but even if it's the same universe it's still a bad thing. A sign the interior of the tardis is dissolving, breaking down or somesuch. Like in a story of the 5th doctor where that started to happen after Turlough sabotaged the doctor's tardis.)

"The first challenge will a food eating contest betwen Cynder and Scooby' Dixie said.
_ 'Very Well" Stripetail said, taking a piece of fish and muching on it. :You will be eating FISH" He gestured and two large plates appeared on the table, each countaining several varities of fish, including blue gill, haddock, smelt and cod. sitting next to the plate was a large pitcher of water for drinking."Each fish is seperated from tthe other, and you must eat at least one of each. they will keep reappearing after you eat them, so you don't have to worry about eating all of them. Both of you will have fifteen minutes to eat, the one who eats the most fish will win. There will be two counters sitting next to the plates, every time you finish eating a piece, the counter will go up..
"Nick you will keep charge of time, and Nago you will be in charge of makinng sure that each contestant keeps their eyes on their plate, and not worry about what their opponent is doing. I will call out the score every so often, and Nick will note when each minute has passed. Are you two ready? Stripetail asked.

Dr. Kerzach, Mr. Bigmouth and Zachary woke up from the scent fish.

Deimos, Rime and Dr. Zanasiu entered the kitchen.

"Hey Nick, is that fish for us?" Deimos asked.

Strut yawned. "Hey, Nick, we havin' a fish breakfast?"

"We'll all have pancakes." Dr. Kerzach said, gesturing to Zachary and Mr. Bigmouth.

BEGIN!" Stripetail commanded and counters went to 0. and the two contestants began attacking the food. Scooby went after the cod first, taking big bites and drinking sips from his watrer. He was used to binge eating, in fact he was a past master at it. So Scooby was very cionfident he could rack up a huge number. 'Ropefully round 150" He thought to himself. That would translate to 10 in a minute , or one every six seconds.

Cynder bit into the fish as quickly as she could. She gulped down the food ravenously and quickly, not very far behind Scooby. When she found herself getting thirsty, she simply stuck her head into the pitcher and slurped up a mouthful of water.

Score is 30-28 Scooby leads. Stripetail called out. Both were on a very rapid pace. Scooby was eating a fish in arund 3 seconds, Cynder between 3 and 4 seconds. at that pace, both would eat well over 200 peces of fish.. Scooby switched to the smelt, which was a tiny fish. Since they were so much smaller, you had to eat 4 to count for 1 of the others. Scooby stuffed in several smelt and began chewing. the counter raced upward.. he was now at 40, by Cynder was still in striking range, within 5.

Unfortunately Cynder's endurance was wearing down. Scooby's stomach seemed to be a bottomless pit. Cynder found her pace getting sluggish as her stomach filled more and Scooby began pulling away. She grabbed the largest piece of fish she could and tried to wolf it down, deciding to go for the larger size and larger point value, rather then Scooby's small, but fast scoring method.

"She's looking weak," Sparx commented.

;Go for the smelt!' Dixie cried out. "they're smaller and easier to chew!. Scooby had eaten 60 in less than 5 minutes, while Cynder had eaten 45. He switxched to the haddock, taking drinks fromm to time, to prevent his mouth from drying out. He plowed ahead..
"!0 minutes left!" Nick called out. Scooby now lead by nearly 20 pieces.. but he knew there was still a lot of time left..

Cynder followed Dixie's advice switching to the smaller pieces of fish, she also cut down on the water, giving her more time to eat the fish.

"Come on, Scooby!" Spyro cheered.

Cynder managed to pick up the pace a little bit, but Scooby now had a very large lead. he passed 100 wihin another minute, and with more than half the time remaining, he was easily going to pass 150, the only question was by how much. Cynder reached 70 pieces, her deficit was now 34 pieces of fish..
