Dirah TUrned on the ball and watched it sail down the left field line. it Was tracking just inside the foul pole, but the glare of the sun made it difficult to see. The ball curved and clanged off the foul pole. DIrah pumped her fist as she rounded second.As She touched home, the baseball diamond vanished. She went to shake paws with Eva. "Great game".

"Yes, you played well. I enjoyed it" Eva shook her claw hand then goes over to Stripetail "YOu win some, lose some, don't make much of a differences just life" Eva smiled.

Wayne goes over to Dirah "Great game Dirah." Wayne smiled stilling fiddling with the box in his jacket waiting for the right moment to show it to her.

"Yes" Eva nods and they leave the gym leaving Wayne and Dirah.

Wayne pulled out his hand "Dirah... I been working on this since the first day we met... it taken me over a few dinoton years..." Wayne takes it out showing the box then opens it showing a clear rock in it carved into the ring. "Dirah... would you be my mate..." Dirah knees down looking to the ground holding the opened box out to Dirah waiting his fate.

'DiRah Looked At him with mouth agape. "Wayne... I... this is so sudden... SHe looked at the ring and then looked away. "I Can't decide right now Wayne. This Isn't a rejection, its its I just need time to think it over. " SHe CLosed the case over the ring and gave it back to him, not being able to look at his face.SHe turned and walked away leaving Wayne looking back at her with sadness.

"I put my heart and soul into making this for Dirah..." Wayne said with tears in his eyes looking at the box. "I was so scared to ask... I..." Wayne dropped the box on the ground getting up walking away the other way with his heart felt ripped apart "The first day I met her I thought she was the one... the one that I truely love... still I think that..." he walked out the building walking towards the forest. "I know she said it wasn't a rejection... but it feels like it... I rushed it yet again... I'll never find anyone right..." Wayne disappeared into the woods leaving the box in the middle of the gym floor.

"Alirght... I'll pick up the box in the gym go to my room..." Wayne nods turing away heading back to the gym. he picks it up and go back to his room sitting down on the bed looking at the box with sadness in his heart.

There was a KnOck On Dirah's door 'SHe opened. "Wayne. I'm" She started to say but then she saw Stripetail. "Oh, My Lord it's you. WOuld You please come in?' SHe ClOsed the door behind him and motioned to a chair. SHe sat on the bed, looking at her claw. 'I"M Guessing you came to talk to me about Wayne. He asked me to marry him, and.." "You rejected his offer.' No, No not at all. I jUst Couldn't give him a response right on the spot." DIrah looked really uncomfortable. "He Loves you Dirah and your non-response has him questioning himself."STripetail said sternly. "Perhaps I Should bring you to my castle to discuss this between yourselves?' Fear rose in her eyes. "No My lord, please! Its just that I didn't expect it for a while yet, and it took me completely by surprise." DOn't you love him dirah?' StRipetail asked. "wHile I will say wayne took a gamble in proposing, he has and your relationship now stands at a crossroads. IF you reject his proposal, that will likely lead to the end of your relationship. There is no third option here Dirah. You must give him a clear answer, yes or no. I will not force you to accept his proposal, Dirah, but I must insist you give him a reply soon, one way or the other. YOur relationship will not last long in its current uncertain state." Dirah nodded. 'I will give my answer after the tournament is over. Will you give me that long?" Very well DIrah, I will tell Wayne that and urge him to be patient." STripetail got and walked towards the door. "Thank you My Lord for being so understanding. He should have proposed while you and Eva were there. "No, that would have only complicated matters further, with your non-response, you would have belittled him in front of eva and myself. That would probably have ended your relationship right there. As It is, You have time to think it over>' StRipetail closed the door behind him and walked over to Wayne's room. "Wayne! IT's me we need to talk"

There was no response as Stripetail entered he only found the box and note. the note saying
"I've left and gone back to Dinoton... to the place of the storm the start of my life. I have questions that deepen... the deepen question that pains my sadness... the place that still in ruins I shell stay till my deepen question is answered... sorry to anyone who reads this... but I only loved once and now it feels lost and gone. I guess it would be you Stripetail who reads this... so tell Dirah where I am and I love her to the end of the world...

STripetail Reached out Mentally to Wayne. "wayne, WHerever you are, Come back. i've talked To DIrah and She will give you a response once the dueling tournament is over. SHe knows that her non-response hurt you and she's sorry, very sorry. i ask you to be patient my friend, sulking in Dinoton isn't going to make this problem go away. SHe knows how you feel. YOu must give her time to figure out how she feels about you" STriPetail said mentally.

"Made it specially for Dirah... took me 2 dinoton years to make it... I put alot of time and effect to make it right for Dirah. I put my heart and soul into it" Wayne said soundly looking at Stripetail. "It going to be near impossible for me distract myself...not even the tourment could distract me..." Wayne said looking back at the wall.

And being with her is out of the question of course. You're going to have to try no matter how hard it seems.As i said to Dirah, your relationship is now at a crossroads. If She refuses your proposal, your relationship will be over. You've put too much into your proposal to work up that courage again any time soon, and a previous rejection would be a constant thought dampening your mind.'STripetail said.
