At hearing Zaine speak despite his physical pain, Longtail was brought out of his memories and looked down at Zaine and smiled. He was still crying, but Longtail managed to say "I-I'm glad you're going to be...okay Zaine...I-I don't know what...I would've done...if..well..."

Cyrix looked back again at Longtail and smiled as well as he said "Longtail I'm proud of you...just take deep long breaths and you should start to feel better soon." Longtail only nodded at his uncle and did as he was told and took long, deep breaths.

Moments later Hunter along with the others arrived. The moment she laid her eyes upon Zaine she gasped, and looked away...not out of fear, but shock. She couldn't believe this had happened to him. She then looked over to Longtail, who was breathing deeply, and Hunter gave a nervous smile as it looked like Longtail was still shaken up at the sight before him.

Hunter walked over and nudged Longtail and said "Just breath...that's all you have to do..."

Dante looked at Zaine. smiling...
"Heh. It's good to have you back with us...Zaine. You've got guts, pal. I'm glad that you managed to stay. I...don't know what I'd've done if you'd gone and...y'know...kicked it?"
He said, smirking broadly...
"Indeed. I, too, am glad to see that you yet live. If you had been lost...I do not need to describe the pain that it would cause everyone, do I?"
Motochika agreed, though his emotions never seemed to change...

Mim motioned to Petrie, Ducky and Littlefoot, taking them to one side she talked to them in a low voice to not distract the others, "Come on, I know of a few things that may help, but I'll need your help to get them and bring them back." She said. The rest nodded willing to do any sort of help and they followed her to look around at some of the nearby bushes, trees and some other plants, as well as some flat stones.

Mitch took some deep breaths, and managed to regain focus.
Zaine was going to be alright.

"...Is there any way we can get water here?" "Did you guys pass some on your way here?" "If so, I'll go and get some, but I need a hand."
"Zaine might suffer from dehydration if we don't get him some!"

Chomper released Zaine and looked towards Mitch. "There's that river over there. Maybe we can use that."

"It's too dangerous," Zaine shook he head a little. "The current is too fast. If somebody tried to even drink from there they would be carried away." He then looked around and then thought of something. "There is a pond not too far from here. It's the start of the fast river, so you could try using that. All you'd have to do is follow the river until you fin it."

Chomper looked don the river and nodded. "He's right! I can see the pond from here!"

Virgil, who had just returned, agreed, saying...
"Same here. Oh, and Dante? Why exactly did you send Me to go get the herbs? I have... no idea about those..."

Mim came back with the others. Littlefoot had various types of leaves, herbs and other things to help Zaine on his back with Ducky on it to help keep it on Littlefoot's back. Mim was carrying some on her hands also. Petrie flew in holding a large leaf wrapped up.

The group went over to where Zaine was. Mim dropped her stuff in a pile and started taking stuff of Littlefoot's back with Ducky handing them up to her. Petrie landed and put the leaf down.

"I came back with some stuff I found nearby, I wasn't sure what you already had here so I got a mix of stuff, including a few large leaves I found. I thought they could be useful to get Zaine some water if he wants any, or if anyone else wanted to use it." She said indicating the various stuff she had and the large leaf that Petrie had been carrying.

Longtail suddenly shook his head clear and said to Chomper "I'll do it...I can fly faster and get to the water and back sooner." He walked over to Mim and said "Can I use that big leaf Aunt Mim?"

Mim nods handing over the rolled up leaf, "Be careful." She said.

"Me go too, it not safe alone maybe." Petrie said.

Longtail smiled and said "Thanks Petire." he then looked down to Zaine and said "Don't worry, Petrie and I will have your water soon Zaine." He then took the leaf in his mouth and flapped towards the pond, with Petire close behind.

"Okay, thanks guys."
Mitch took one of the bigger leaves in his mouth.
"We'll need this to keep the water in" he said with his mouth full.
"Just hold on Zaine, we won't take long, I promise!"
He smiled against Zaine, glad that he was still alive. He gave him a blink with his right eye. "I'm acctualy jealous at you, the girls will be all over you with a scar like that!" Mitch gave a smile, then set off to get water.

He said, blushing at the thought of admitting his own weakness...

Zaine couldn't help but laugh at Mitch's comment. Wouldn't that be a treat, having the girls swoon over me because of my scar. I hope Mitch realizes that had this resulted differently, there would be no girls falling for me. He then turned to Chomper. "I thank you for your concern Chomper. I think it would be best if you stayed here while Longtail and Petrie are getting the water. You can always sniff out any intruders coming for us."

Chomper nodded. "I just want to be of help. I mean, I was so scared when I found you lying on teh ground like this. I felt like I failed to protect you."

Zaine smiled. "Well, I'm still alive aren't I? You didn't fail, they just got lucky."

Longtail along with Petrie's help returned with the giant leaf filled with water. He then flapped his wings keeping him in place as he asked a question. "Uhh...now that we have the water...we cant really put this leaf down...the water would spill out."

Cyrix looked to the two flyers then to Mim and asked "Well I can take it from here boys." He reached up and took the water filled leaf from Petrie and Longtail, and kept it folded so the water wouldn't spill and then walked over to Zaine and said "We have your water Zaine." Longtail landed and still had a soft, sad look in his eyes as he looked at Zaine. "I'm glad you're okay."

Zaine lifted his head and neck off the ground and sipped the water from the leaf. "Thanks you guys. I really needed that." Chomper had left to gather more things, so Zaine turned towards Longtail. "I'm the one that should be glad you're ok. I'm...so sorry that you and Littlefoot were kidnapped. I didn't intend for it to happen that way, so I'm sorry it ever happened." He then looked down. "The truth is, those egg eaters are now more desperate than ever to get the stone. First they kidnap you guys, and then they try to kill me. This stone really must be real, but is it worth all of this trouble?"

Mim nods to Virgil as she sets the stuff out in a more organized order. "Sure, I don't mind teaching you what I know." She said. She looked at the others, "Who's going to be the main ones helping Zaine. Maybe all of us can work together and teach those willing so they can learn as they help us help Zaine." Mim said. She then looked back at Virgil patting him on the back gently to try to reassure him, "Don't be bashful to admit what you don't know. I heard a wise old person once say, the first step to wisdom is admitting what you don't know, even if only to yourself, the second is willingness to learn." Mim said.

After Petrie was done helping Longtail and Cyrix and the leaf with water in it he flew over to a nearby tree to keep out of the way and keep watch on what they were doing, looking around now and then to see if anyone or thing was trying to sneak up on them.

"I would like to learn, yes I would." Ducky said nodding enthusiastically.

Littlefoot nodded also, "My grandfather says that you can never learn to much." Littlefoot said then looked at the others, "How about you guys?". He asked.
