The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Okay...here goes.

My family and I have three Cocker Spaniels, a cockatiel and an African Grey parrot.

Sir Maxwell(male buff C.S.): Jumps in my lap and falls asleep narcoleptic-like as soon as I get home from work .

CoCo(female white & tan C.S.): Likes to hide in my mother's closet :lol.

Deezal(pronounced "diesel"; male black five month-old C.S.): Knocked down our portable greenhouse the other week.  He got in, pulled ALL of the peapods out, tore them open and ate all the seeds!  The seeds were almost ready for the gardens, so we were quite p***** off but laugh about it now .

Gus(cockatiel): Stands on his perch in his cage and just stares at his reflection in a mirror while whistling in a flirty manner .

Howard(African Grey): Has got to be the funniest pet ever.  African Grey parrots learn more vocabulary than any other existing parrot.  Let's see...he mimics the telephone ringing then says hello, screams my name a lot, calls the dogs, tells Gus to shut up, cusses like a sailor(courtesy of the series "The Sopranos"), whistles and hoots, does acrobats, has conversations with himself, and if a rap song comes on the radio he raises his left foot and starts bobbing his head :lol.  He also dances to dance music and mimics certain bodily functions.  Yes, he is a clown AND an attention-seeker :lol.

I have a Duck that will follow anything that moves and if you stop and lie down it will climb to the top of your head then chirp multiple times like it's the king or something. :lol  However if it is following something and it's, say, water bowl is in it's path it will jump in it's water bowl and sit there until something else comes for it to follow.

I used to have a Dalmatian That would jump VERY high in the air whenever any human (whether he knew them or not) comes walking on our property.

I also used to have this one dog but i've lost him long ago so i forget the species. Anyway, if you said "Paw" It would give you it's Paw as if shaking hands with you. :lol

My cat, Kisa May talks to me. She says please and thank you to me.
I'll barrow the camera and get a video of her talking to me. She also falls asleep in the oddest places and possissions.

That is simply amazing. Literally TALKS to you? such as human words that we understand in English, or meows that you can understand?

My first dog(gotta love those Cocker Spaniels) knew how to dance like a ballerina.  I'd wave the treat in a circle and say "Ballerina," and she would get up on her hindlegs and tip-toe in a twirl.

A funny trick Sir Maxwell(a.k.a. Max) knows is how to play dead.  Before I give him a treat, I point my hand at him in the shape of a gun and yell "Bang!"  He then flops down and rolls onto his back while sticking his legs up :lol.

My dog, Sacha, likes playing with balloons. We once had a heliumfilled balloon and she was like, I want it  I want it.

When dinnertime comes, the dog must lay on her place. And every minute you see her crawling closer to the tabel where we eat.. :p

Once my dog and cat were sitting next to eachother, the cat on thew bench and the dog on the floor. They were both looking at me and followed my hand cus they thought I held food in it .. xD filmed that.. ^^

Okay, since I last posted here, CoCo had to be put down, and I had given Deezal to a couple who had just put their black dog to sleep.  He was too much to handle at the time, and I figured another family would be happy with him.  So... as seen in the "Show Us Your Critters" thread, I have two dogs.

*Sir Maxwell is still well.  He will be eight years old in March.  The little guy, Pepper, is keeping him busy :lol.

*Pepper is a black Cocker Spaniel (I'm a Cocker nut :D), and he is five months old.  He is the most rambunctious little rascal.  Something he has done at times, when he wants back in the house bad enough, is bang on the back door instead of scratch .  Seriously, the first time he did that, I thought somebody was trying to break in :bang.

*Howard, the African Grey, has learned a lot more vocabulary.  He mocks entire small talk telephone conversations (including the telephone ringing, pushing the talk button to talk and then again to hang up :wow), copys the sound of the front door opening and closing, screams for me if I have not awaken him by a certain time, and talks to the dogs (i.e "Get in your bed.", "Let's go night-night.", "Gotta go potty?", "Down!", "Good boy!", "Whatcha got, huh?").  He makes a peep sound whenever I unlock the front door to enter the house, followed by, "Hello!".  Ever since he began to cuss like a sailor, I've had to be careful about TV programs I was leaving on for him (it aids in their vocabulary learning process).  I don't even do that anymore due to consciousness about the environment and saving energy.  Anyhoo, he hardly cusses anymore.  Strangely, even though I rarely use this phrase and never say it around him, he has started saying, "Son of a b****!"  He also adds random names to the things he says.  He'll say things like, "Whatever, Max!", "Whatcha got, bird?!", "How's it goin', Pepper?" and other random things :lol.  Something random he said the other week was, "I got it on sale!"  Phew!  I could go on and on about this character, but I think this is enough for now :lol.

Both of my cats, my fluffy black year old Gypsy and my 13 year old tabby Funcat(don't laugh I was only 4 when I named the old man that, he was 3 months at the time), can talk back when I talk to them. Or sometimes I hear Gypsy meow for me to play with him and he sounds like he's saying my name xD

Gypsy also LOVES paper, so he whenever there is paper around him, he has this urge to tear it all up. He's stares at you with those large yellow eyes as if he's saying, "What?" whenever he knows he's done something wrong. He also goes spazzed whenever I have an elastic in view. He'll pick it up and tap it continuously.

Funcat doesn't do this anymore due to his aging, but when he was much younger he used to roll whenever I would come home. He also has this Siamese meow that's very distinct. He forms words such as "mom" when he's crying. xD

I love my boys if you couldn't tell already. :P::wub:

BTW, CT your African Grey sounds awesome! 8D *huggles the wittle birdie*
