I have something for ya!
http://search3.idrive.com/driveway/jsp/dwa...p?id=x7q4k8o9z8I plan on refining this trumpet part considerably, so you may not want to do anything with this. It's here if you want to play around though, or in the event that I don't get a chance to send you anything else. B)
Here's the Trumpet 1 part I performed. For the most part, it's simply the main melody. The section from 1:05 is a little improv stuff which I thought could be useful if you wanted to do something with it.
I'll start working on some other cool stuff now, less related to the main melody. I mainly did this for myself, so I actually *know* the notes to the melody in this song.

I've never worked with this song before today.

I know we don't really need melody parts so much as background parts (that's what the singers are for!), so I'll see what I can do about that.
I timed this file so that if you insert it *exactly* when the original music track starts playing, it will be in sync.
i'm going to have very little time to work on anything this weekend. I have to go to work.
Are we going to try and produce some background music or are we going to use the original? Because here's what I'm thinking:
if we're going to use the original song, I can just write some instrumental parts to sit on top of the existing music. If we're making something from scratch, I'll need to write parts for instruments that already exist (piano, guitar, etc.). Right now, I'm just adding new instruments and completely new parts, not necessarily present in the original, to fill in the sound and make it a little more original.
I don't think I'd have time to reproduce the complete arrangement by the end of the month, with the way my schedule looks. I could do a simple one, without attempting to capture every single detail of the original, just getting the important parts so that the vocals work. That's probably all I'd have time for.
This song is a pain too because it's in 6/8 time...which, I have to admit, it a little bit of a pain in FL Studio.

Do-able, for sure, but just a little more of a pain.
