Ateo lifted up his head as he heard someone screaming. He looked at Ecco and back towards the source of the sound before saying, "What was that?"

Suddenly the earth under Ateos and Eccos feet began to shiver. I...I don¥t know. But it doesn¥t seem to be good. Ecco answered with a bit fear in his voice.

Spiral thought for a moment, then nodded. "Sure...I don't mind..." he said.

Kariya returned with a rather large armful of leaves. "Got some for ya!" she said, dropping them off to the side but within easy reach of Spiral, making sure to avoid dropping her load on Ducky.

Zaine couldn't stop worrying about Ecco. He had been gone for quite some time now. I hope Littlefoot and Blueberry find him. Then he realized he still needed to come up with a plan to save Longtail. I'm not going to let him succumb to this new evil. "So, uhh, exactly what should we do?" he asked Grandpa longneck. "I really can't wait any longer. I have to do something to help Longtail before it's too late."

Grandpa longeneck smiled and frowned almost at the same time as he thought about Longtaila dissapearance. He looked down at Zaine and said "I know Littlefoot and Blueberry will be fine. They know how to watch after themselves." He then sighed as he also said "But for now....I think it best we not worry about Longtail. We have much bigger issues right now...even with his supposed 'dark' change" He then looked up and smiled as he said "And we've arrived at the meeting place."

Cyrix smiled as Ruby offered to stay and help him...he then stood up and walked over to Ruby and asked "Can I speak with you for a moment?"

Zaine smiled uneasily, until he received a sharp sense of danger. He didn't know how, but he could tell something was wrong. Longtail's hurt, or he's about to hurt someone. Zaine began to grow worried. "Well whatever we decide, we need to decide quickly. I'm getting more worried about Littlefoot and Blueberry, especially Ecco."

Grandpa Longneck quickly nodded his head and stepped forward and addresed the crowd of dinosuars. "We all now have a very real problem...this storm has weakaned the Great Valley defenses, the children are all spooked and according to at least two of the young ones...Longtail has been taken away. By whom we don't know...but we must act quickly to protect our home and the young ones...I was thinking of spliting our group up and..."

However a voice rang out and said "Please...just leave Longtail...he's completely useless!"

Cera was stunned, she didn't see who said that...but she hoped that she didn't find out who it was as she was now officially angery...and she shopmped her foot and shouted "Hey don't say that about him!!!!"

Zaine swelled with anger and hate inside of him. He stepped forward and directed his attention towards the one who spoke up. "Say one more insult about him and I'll kill you! He's my best friend, and I'm not going to give up on him!" A tear began to roll down his cheek. How could someone be so cruel?

The owner of the voice stepped out of the shadows and it was none other than Korr..the Redhorn. He gave a small smile and said "Well..it seems some here don't know when to let a bad thing like a freak flyer named Longtail."

Korr looked up and said "You need to keep your mouth shut! We aren't talking to you...now just sit there and accept that what I say about that freak flyer is the truth!"

Grandpa Longneck sighed and said in responese...
"This is getting us nowhere...we need a solution now! Please...the children just want their friend back...I say we stick to the plan and split our forces up and at least go looking for the little one!"

Dante staggered unsteadily to his feet.
"Look, I'm sure you'll make the right decision, but...I can't just sit here and wait for you to. I'm going after Longtail. You can follow me if you want, but I won't force the issue."
He slid off Grandpa Longneck's tail, setting a path for the beyond, where his friend was...

Cera immediately jumped in front of Dante and said "Now wait just a mintue..even if you could find Longtail..chances are now...that he'd be far too strong for you now, and you would just wind up getting killed and I will not see that happen..just give the elders some more time....I'm sure their plan will work." She then narrowed her eyes and said "OR ELSE!"

The bomming and shaking grew under Ateo's and Ecco's feet.
It was no doubt it was coming from the cave.

"LEFT!"
Blueberry yelled it as they came to another junction, and they quickly changed course. None of them had been looking backwards, and both was sure that it wasn't something worth stoping for.
He could just hope that none of them would grow tired before they'd reached an exit. But they were hopless lost.

"WE'RE NOT GETTING ANYWHERE!" Littlefoot said loadly as they ran.
"THAT'S BECAUSE WE'VE BEEN RUNNING IN CIRCLES!" Blueberry said back with a face.
"WE NEED TO FIND AN EXI..."
"THERE! STOP!"

"STOP!? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!"
"TRUST ME, RUN STRAIGHT BACK ALONG THE TUNNEL AND HEAD RIGHT IN THE JUNCTION THAT WE JUST PASSED!"

They both slowed down, but didn't stop to catch their breath.
Immediatly they were heading back.
As they turned around a corner...
"GO FOR IT!" Blueberry voice echoed trough the noise.
Littlefoot had to close his eyes.
They were running straight into a wall of darkness. It was traveling atleast twice the speed as them, and was heading trough the tunnel towards them.
In the middle of the tunnel, there was a junction.
That's where Blueberry had seen the light.

20 metres... Could they make it?
10 metres... C'mon... c'mon... c'mon! Blueberry beged for himself.
5 metres... We're not gonna make it!

It was like the wall had been opening its mouth, ready to swallow them whole.

"JUMP!
They took a leap and jumped with all their energy diagonal to the right.
For a second they were airborne. They couldn't see the ground beneath them.
Then they both crashed to the wall and tumbled down to the floor.
The dark oze had missed them with a hairsbreadth .
But it was already making signs of slowing in. It was coming back for them.
Blueberry could feel a cutting pain in his right leg, but he had to much adrenaline to mind about that now.
He looked at Littlefoot, who nooded back. He was okay.
None of them had to say anything.

They took each a deep breath and started running towards the light.

Out of the darkness of the cave Ecco saw Blueberry running towards them. Hey Ateo! Look over there. There are Littlefoot and Blueberry, he said happily. Hey! Blueberry, Littlefoot. Over here!

Chomper wake up on Grandpa longnecks back because of the discussion. Slowly he opened his eyes and sat up to get a better overview. What,... what is going on here? The little sharptooth asked as a watched down.

Cyrix walked with Ruby outside the cave. After a brief moment of tension Cyrix tooka deep breath and said what he felt he needed to say.
"Ruby, you are a wonderful friend for the other children here...but after everything that has happened...perhaps now is not the best time to be forming new friendships." He took another moment and stepped towards her and spoke again to help make his point clear.
"Having friends everywhere you go is a gift Ruby, but don't let them in here." He then placed his left hand over her heart as he said "Because once they're there...losing them...could mean losing a part of yourself."
Cyrix then turned and immediately walked away, hoping Ruby would understand what he'd just said.

Cera beamed at Dante's response and she said "alright then." she then looked up at Chomper and explained "The elders are having a meeting about what to do with all the danger going on, and some jerk over there just said that we should forget about Longtail...can you believe that?!"

Grandpa Longneck sighed and said "No...Korr leaving a hatchling to the fate that they don't deserve is just not right. I won't allow you to leave this valley until you agree to help us find Longtail and fight off whatever this...evil is."

Blueberry and Littlefoot could see two silouettes stading at the entrance.
As they got closer, they could see who it was.
"ECCO!?" Blueberry yelled. What are you doing outside!? But there was no time for chitchat.

"GET OUT OF THERE, NOW!" Blueberry and Littlefoot yelled at the same time.
"IT'S COMING!"

"Kor you spineless son of a..." Zaine lunged towards Kor and body slammed right into him. Of course, it had no effect, but he didn't care. "TAKE THAT BACK!" Zaine stood up and body slammed him again, which had the same result as before. Zaine still got back up and kept body slamming into him, yelling "Take it back!" After maybe ten body slams, Zaine finally gave up. Tears began to fall, but he kept glaring at Kor. "How can you be so cruel?"

"What was that?" Diver said looking over to one side having felt something in the ground.

Blue-eyes shrugged, "Minor earthshake." He said. "Come on, this cave here leads into Flattooth Valley & there is some water if you'd like a drink before you go all the way into the valley." Blue-eyes said as he lead them towards a cave.

Rhyn led the old flyer to the meeting place. "Here we are," She said then looked around, "Looks like some others are already having a meeting here." She said as they came in to land.

The old flyer looked around as the flew towards the meeting place and came in for a landing. "Looks just the same as last time." She said. She looked older then even Mr. Thicknose or Grandpa longneck.

Petrie flew in front of Dante nodding to what Cera said. "Best we wait. If grown ups argue then we go and do what need do like we do in past." Petrie said referring to the times in the past when the grown ups had a meeting and started or continued to argue and the gang went ahead and did what needed doing while the grown ups were arguing.
