The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

What does Chomper and his parents eat on the land if there are the only dinos on the island?

I suspect there's other dinosaurs on the island. Chomper's parents weren't at all surprised Chomper claimed to eat longneck for breakfast. From what I recall, Chomper only said that his folks were the only big sharpteeth around there (which he was proven wrong by the presence of another sharptooth), not that he and his folks were the only dinosaurs.

We may have only seen a part of the island, maybe the part of the land near one side of it, there could have been more that we have not seen.

Realistically I don't suppose Chomper and his parents could have survived on that island for long (and they may not have meant to do that at all with the earthquake cutting their way from the island). I would suspect them to be more of a nomadic species (following the food) than a settled one.

Some may follow herds of farwalkers, or were nomad themselves and didn't follow any 1 specific herd.

I'd always imagined that sharpteeth would have some sort of set territory, but the movies don't really support this theory considering how many sharpteeth wonder to the Great Valley and the fact that Chomper's parents were quite a ways from the Great Valley in the fifth movie. (Or at least, they might be. Haven't seen that movie.)

If they did have a set territory I imagine it would probably be pretty large.

I don't think there were any animals big enough for them to eat back in those times. They all probably would have been about the size of Tickles.

They've shown some mammals but they are all small, maybe around Ducky's size or a bit smaller.

Well, perhaps Chomper's parents were using island's leaf-rich appearance to lure migrating herbivorous on it. I mean, they were just waiting for another meal to come. :)
