"The Big Wat..er can... can be a strange place." - Racnar said, still trying to catch his breathe. Cayso got worried, he placed a hand over his brother's shoulder and made himself closer as he whispered - "Are you feeling ok?, you may eat one of those leaves."- but Racnar's only answer was a negation with his head. Cayso sighed and replied with a smile. "Don't overdo it, ok?" - Racnar smiled back at him.

"I'm not really a swimmer, but I like the sight of water," Tyra commented. "It can be quite peaceful.

"And it's even better with Chomper around," Rita added with a giggle

Longtail took a sniff of the air, as he sat in silence for several more moments, before over the sound and rush of the water...he could hear something, and then he spoke. "Hey, guys, do you hear that...it sounds like someone's crying. Stay here, I'll check it out."

He then spread his wings and flew a short distance away from the others and saw fist something he wasn't expecting: Another flyer! Longtail then landed and could tell from her scale colors, and her voice that it was a girl.

Longtail walked over to her and gently asked, "Excuse me, are you okay?"

The female flyer gasped at being addressed and mumbled, "M-my name...is Pearl...who..are you?"

Longtail smiled and said, "I'm a friend."

Chomper and the others soon arrived. "Wo's this?" he asked Longtail, feeling bad for the flyer because she was crying

Pearl immediately gasped and backed away from the sharpteeth not understanding what they were asking.

Longtail sighed as he turned and replied, "She says her name is Pearl, but seeing as how she cant' speak sharptooth, I'll have to translate for her." He then turned to Pearl as she scooted back again. Longtaii smiled and said, "Its okay, these sharpteeth are my friends...they won't hurt you. I promise."

Pearl just sniffled again and shook her head in a 'no' fashion.

Kai smiled.
"Well, I'm not too good at it, but I can try to talk to her in flattooth..."
He said, then turned to look at Pearl.
"H-Hello there. You don't...need to be afraid...we...won't hurt you..."
He said slowly, tripping over the words somewhat...

Pearl was shocked to see Chomper speaking flattooth. But she was even more startled when Kai tried and she too understood him! "H-how....are you all speaking flattooth? I-I don't understand."

Longtail smiled and said, "Well Pearl...I made them a deal. I would teach them how to speak flattooth if they promised me a home, and that's just what I have. Speaking of which where is your home?"

Pearl then shed a few tears as she pointed out to the Big water and said, "That island there....thats it."

Longtail followed her gaze and as he laid eyes on the island his eyes widened as it was now his turn to step back and tripped over a rock and fell onto his back and stuttered "I-it...its really...there...I-I can't believe it..." He then screamed "I-can't....I can't go back! I CAN'T!!!"

Tyra looked surprised at Longtail, but Veli had figured things out. "That's your home, isn't it?" he asked in sharptooth

"It has to be." - Racnar said, he tried to get closer to Longtail and crouched near him - "I may not understand what you feel, but to go there is the reason we are all here with you. To help you get answers."
Cayso looked at the female Flyer - "We will do everything we can to help, if you can trust us, then you may tell us what happened."

Pearl was torn between running over to help Longtail, and staying as far away from these sharpteeth as possible...even if some of them could speak flattooth, it might still be a trick. She sighed and finally gave in as she rushed over to Longtail's side and embraced him in a hug and whispered, "Its okay...Longtail....your friends are here to help...and so am I. Please just let us help you...please?"

Longtail finally stopped screaming and although his breathing was a little shaky, he managed to calm himself down enough to open his eyes and give a sad smile as he continued to look at his old home...even after all this time...it was still beautiful...and he guessed just as deadly.

"We'll always stay by your side Longtail," Chomper assured. "And don't worry Pearl, we don't hurt or eat our friends. I could teach ya how to speak sharptooth if you want," he added a laugh with that last sentence, though if Pearl said yes, he'd gladly teach her.

Rita looked at Longtail. "So how do we get to the island?" she asked, still holding Chomper's hand. She deeply cared for him

Kai looked over at the island, then he suddenly clutched at his head.
"What's this...why am I remembering...something....There's something here...something...that I remember..."
He said, shaking oddly...

"What is it Kai?" Tyra asked concerned. Redclaw was also worried. Though they have a tendency to mock each other, he kinda liked the little guy
