Chomper really wished he could help, but he knew there was nothing they could do.

Tyra walked over to Racnar. "We can only hope for our friends triumph," she said to try to comfort the fast biter. "We know Kai, Longtail, Dante, and Redclaw can win, right?"

Aster nodded and went a short distance away with some of the other belly draggers towards a stream where both fish and swimmers could be found.

Shelia was confused at what was supposed to happen and she just sat there and gave some advice that had once helped her.
"Ya know, sometimes the things we do best is nothing at all. Just wishing and hoping for your friends safety is all that you can do, so that is all we will do."

Greyclaw looked at Longtail - "You won't make the same mistakes your parents did?, that is exactly what I want." - He then opened his dark wings and jumped to find Longtail, his dark claws and tail's blade growing bigger as he made his attack.

Racnar looked at Tyra - "They can win... I have faith in them... but... I am not sure about Cayso, what if he decides to join the intruder?" - the kid paused for a bit, then he looked at Longtail's father and asked him with a very worried voice - "The call I felt is the same one I know Cayso felt... is because the intruder is Greyclaw... my father?".

In the cave, Cayso just stayed where he was, seeing the battle as it started, then a black aura formed around him, as he felt a voice - "This is what I was meant to do, but you have your own destiny: help the Dying Child to fulfill the prophecy!".

Longtail stood his ground as Greyclaw attacked. He then put his glowing rainbow wings in front of his and used them as a shield to protect himself from Greyclaws charge.
"This...is the day...that my family died for...and I shall AVENGE THEM ALL!!!!" cried Longtail with an air of superiority in his voice.

Pearl cried out: "WHAT?!? You mean the intruder that came onto the island to KILL Longtail is your dad?!"

Sheila looked shocked but said nothing waiting for Racnar to answer Pearls question.

"WHAT?!" Chomper yelled, just as shocked.

Meanwhile, Aster and the others arrived back with fish and swimmers, but they felt now was not the best time to talk.

"i can't believe that," Rita said. Chomper wondered what his parents were thinking right now

Racnar looked at Pearl, with a very saddened look on his face. - "I am his blood... but he is not my dad, my dad is my step-father, my herd's current leader and the one that cares for all of us... Chomper knows him.... I have never met my real father: Greyclaw, but Cayso has.. that's why... I am so worried." - Racnar then turned his head away from them. - "I never wanted... to keep this from you... but I wasn't sure who was the intruder until... some... moments ago." - After that, the kid collapses, grabbing his chest again as it is obvious that the pain in getting unbearable.

As Greyclaw fell back after Longtail could block his attack replied - "I can recognize the same arrogance in you, I thought you were different, someone WORTHY!" - the Intruder gave a very loud screech of anger, strong enough to make the whole cave and island to shake, he then joined his hands to make a double fist and hitted the land, making a breach in direction of Longtail, breaking a hole below the Flyer and from there two very big jaws emerged, trying to swallow Longtail.

At the moment, the black fog was still covering Cayso, as the kid still hears the voice of his father - "My son, someday you'll get to understand why I have to do this. But no matter how this will end, do not let anger to consume you, as it consumed me in a quest for revenge... because too many things will depend on you and will depend on your opposite." - As the voice was talking, Cayso was transmiting the message from the start to Redclaw and Kai, so they'll get to know too.

"RACNAR?!" Chomper panicked, running up to his friend. "Mom, dad, anyone, get help!"

Redclaw didn't know what to think after Cayso transmitted his message. But he did had time to act. He quickly pulled Longtail out of the way of the mysterious jaws

Greyclaw gave quite a devious smile as he saw Redclaw taking Longtail into safety, and he asked the bigger sharptooth - "Why are you doing this?. The Guardian asked you to step aside." - He then elongated the blade in his tail and stopping it just a centimeter away from one of Redclaw's eyes - "Don't interrupt the combat again, as he said, this is between him and me."

Redclaw wanted to fight Greyclaw, but he remembered what Longtail had said. "Ok, I won't interrupt," he said regretfully.

Racnar felt like he was floating in a dark place, and he could listen Chomper, Veli, Tyra, and Rita's voices in the distance. - "Wake up?... what for?... to keep the suffering going?... to keep the torture of living yet another day?" - he then looked back - "But Cayso... what about Cayso? if I don't return, he'll be devastated... but, I don't want to return." - he then tried to cry aloud - "I don't know what to do... someone please... please, help me." - At that moment he saw a hand, with a voice that seems quite familiar
"Take my hand Racnar... don't be afraid my son. There is always a reason to live, you said it yourself, that Cayso is going to suffer the most. You have always lived because of him, because you believe in him. Believe now." - Racnar felt no danger and nothing evil in that voice, his father's voice and he took that hand. Suddenly, Racnar wakes up, sitting up as he tried to breathe.

Longtail gave Greyclaw a death stare and stated: "I'm not arrogant, I just want peace, and to do that, some have to live, and others have to die. Including myself if the need comes. But a Guardian can always choose great good like me, or great evil such as yourself." Longtail took a deep breath and continued.
"But now,this is the end...possibly for all of us! Greyclaw PREPARE TO DIE!!!" said Longtail in a serious, but grave and dark tone, as he slapped his tail against the ground, and a sudden sense of free-fall overtook the cave, and the entire island as it began a rapid decent from the sky.

Pearl was stunned as she stepped over to Racnar and held his hand for a moment, "Are you sure you're okay. You really had me scared."

Sheila however screamed as she just happened to turn around and see what she thought wouldn't happen. "THE ISLAND IS FALLING OUT OF THE SKY!!!"

Greyclaw used his dark wings and floated near Longtail... he then began laughing - "I don't believe it, you grew so desperate that you'll kill all of your friends, so you can defeat me?... if you truly want to ram the island, then let me help you!!!. You gave up your friends, and I'll get to destroy this place for good, their deaths will not be in vain, a new breed of Guardians will be born after this... Guardians that will truly be protectors, no damned killers!!." - Greyclaw charged his energy and fired it to the floor of the cave, accelerating the fall.

Cayso couldn't believe what was happening either - "They are two monsters!, they are both really trying to kill us!."

In the mainland, Racnar wanted to tell Pearl what happened to him, but he couldn't, as he began staring at the falling island too. - "We must... get out of here, if the island crashes... it may provoque a giant wave of water that may kill us all." - He looked at the others - "We must go to... higher lands now!."

"Got it!" Aster replied. "Everyone out!" The belly draggers took off as fast as they could. Aster even put Racnar on his back in case the fast biter had trouble walking.

Chomper, his parents, and the rest quickly followed.

Redclaw didn't know how to act. Would he, Kai, Cayso, and Longtail die by the impact?

(GVG, could you have Longtail's father be a hero or something?)

Longtail began to laugh aloud and looked around at his friends as he said: "Well, now that is funny, cause from where I'm standing, and given the fact that my Guardian wings are now surrounding my friends." he then pointed his tail at everyone standing behind Greyclaw and indeed his angle like wings were covering Dante, Cayso, Redclaw and everyone else in the cave except Longtail himself and Greyclaw.
"They will survive the islands crash while we will both die Greyclaw, so in a way you are right, after this true Guardians will be born, and they will be free to watch and choose their fates." He then turned to look at his friends...no..his family and said, "Its been fun guys, take care of yourselfs."

Longtails' father knew that they wouldn't make it up to higher ground in time, so he did the only sensible thing.
"Everyone stay right where you are! I'm going to get us all to safety!" He then spun in a circle and as he did the sand around everyone turned a pale sky blue and formed a bubble. That bubble then started to give off a warm and fuzzy feeling, and Longtails father then said, "I forgotten how much fun this was."

Needless to say both Sheila and Pearl were caught somewhat off guard and both gave a startled yelp as they felt the bubble close around them.

"This is kinda nice," Chomper commented. Than it happened. The island came crashing down, and water came in a MASSIVE wave towards the mainland. However, the bubble that Longtail's father made protected them. It would not be broken. The wave went right over them, not causing any of them harm.

"Amazing," commented Tyra.

When Aster grabbed Racnar, the kid placed both his hands firmly around the Bellydragger's neck. But when the bubbles where created, the Fast-biter let go and looked with much curiosity the bubble that were surrounding him and Aster. - "This is incredible, Longtail's father... really saved us... but what about Longtail, Cayso and... the others?"

A few moments before the crash, Greyclaw said to Longtail: - "You are different after all. The Guardians that were before you made a terrible mistake, a mistake that caused the loss of thousands of lives. Back then, I used my power to protect those that were left and they began an exodus after your kind destroyed our home. I got blind with rage and hatred, and I started a quest for revenge, and I succeded, partially. I don't want the new Guardians to make the same mistakes, and you made me clear that you will not make them, that you are not like them... specially after the effort you are doing to protect your friends... my son included." - As the island was near the surface, with an inevitable crash, Greyclaw used his own energy to cover Longtail - "Why don't you make yourself a favor and live?. All I ask is that you will not make the same mistakes your ancestors did, or a new Greyclaw will arise." - As the island finally crashed. there was nothing in that moment but chaos and destruction.

"Mom? Dad, you ok?" Chomper roared to his parents bubble.

Racnar made an effort and spoke more loudly so Chomper could hear him - "Yes, I am fine.. thanks to Aster and Longtail's father!... Are you and Rita ok?" - He then breathed again, his chest is hurting much less now - "...Ptyra, Sheila, Pearl, How are you?".

In the mean time, Elly was taking a look at her fellow Bellydraggers and told Aster - "Aster, we are all here, nobody is missing."
