Longtail turned his head and noticed Lori leaving. He then called out, "Hey, Lori...where are going...don't you want to stay. Maybe we could help you find what you're looking for."

She stopped and turned back to face him. "You would do that? Even though you barely know me?"

Lori was confused and touched by Longtail's offer. She looked at the rest of the group to see their reactions.

Chomper nodded. "Welcome to the Great Valley Lori."

Cera looked at Lori. "You're one of us now."

"Hey Deimos! Aren't you gonna greet our newest friend?" Nod shouted.

"Later! I've got to administer a beatdown to our intruder!" Deimos shouted back. He then tackled the sickleclaw and punched him. At the same time, Hyp kicked the sickleclaw in the groin and Ducky kicked him in the head.

Finally, Deimos tore the sickleclaw's throat out with his teeth. He stood up from the dead sickleclaw and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. "Virgil, Motochika, Dante, Hyp, Mutt and Ducky thanks for the help." he said, looking at each in turn.

Deimos then turned to Lori. "Oh, hello there."

Dante smiled at Lori.
"Hey there. Nice to meet you. I'm Dante. Dante S. Starfall."
He said, offering his hand to her...

Virgil and Motochika looked at Lori as well, each smiling...

Littlefoot was at the Thundering Falls Lakes. He had finished speaking to Mr. Threehorn when Ducky's mother ran in. She had her twin sticks strapped across her back.

"Ms. Swimmer, what seems to be the problem?" Mr. Threehorn asked.

Ducky's mother took a deep breath. "We are under attack."

Mr. Threehorn nodded. "It seems like Littlefoot here can confirm. I'll call a meeting."

Lori tilted her head to the side as Dante extended his hand. She did not recognize the gesture and his name was also oddly long. "Um, hi."

She briefly glanced over at Virgil and Motochika, noticing their smiles.

Deimos saw Lori's confusion. "That's gesture called a handshake. We use it to greet others. By the way, my name is Deimos."

Ducky introduced herself. "My name is Ducky."

Hyp, Mutt and Chomper introduced themselves.

Out in the distance two Egg-Stealers were at an oasis. The sound of bickering was heard.

"Strut! How many times have I told you, no more of this damned green food!" Ozzie shouted, forcing Strut's mouth open and sweeping it clear of the food.

"But Ozzie..." Strut began.

Ozzie punched Strut. "Shut up! I am tired of your excuses." He then began to rain blow after blow on Strut.

Suddenly and much to Ozzie's shock, Strut landed a surprisingly well aimed and strong punch to Ozzie's groin.

"Ozzie, I am tired of the abuse you've given me! I'm going to join the Great Valley dinosaurs." Strut said.

Ozzie was in too much pain to chase after Strut, so he cursed at him instead. "Go on, you ungrateful bastard! See how they treat you!"

Strut then spat in Ozzie's direction and headed in the direction of the Great Valley.

(OOC - I'll take Strut. Anyone can have Ozzie.)

Dante smiled at Lori's confusion, then dropped his had to his side, grinning.
"If you're wondering, the name's something that my mentor gave me. He always said that names exerted a strong pull on people..."
He trailed off, looking into the sky...

Strut wandered through the Mysterious Beyond until he reached the borders of the Great Valley.

"I hope they will accept me." he muttered to himself as he entered.

Deimos looked at where Fastclaw has looking. "It's an Egg-Stealer."

"Let's take him out before he steals some eggs!" Hyp said, brandishing his stick.

The group then began to advance towards Strut, who tried to run, only to be stunned by a well thrown stick by Deimos.

Strut fell to the ground as the wind was knocked out of him. He looked at Deimos.

"Wait, I'm not here to cause trouble. I'm here because I need to hide from my brother." Strut said.

"You're an Egg-Stealer, thus you steal and eat eggs. Give us one good reason why we shouldn't smash your head in." Hyp spat, stick raised.

"I don't eat eggs."

"Liar."

"Hyp. We may have a useful ally." Chomper said. "I mean he's a two-footer like you. Thus, he can use the same weapons as you. Besides, if he does try anything funny, Deimos and I will eat him."

Longtail sighed and said, "You guys need to relax." He looked to Strut and asked, "So, what's your name, and if you need to hide from your brother, why did you choose here?"

"You're not going to kill me are you?" Strut asked, looking at Hyp who was still brandishing his stick.

Chomper looked at Hyp. "Hyp, put the stick away."

Hyp grumbled but obeyed.

Chomper then turned to Strut. "Hi."

Lori followed the others they moved towards the egg-stealer. She reflected for a moment that neither sharptooths nor flattooths liked egg-stealers very much. She didn't much like them herself.

Longtail was simply looking Strut over when his eyes widened and he said, "You look way too familiar to me...but I don't know why?" He then looked Strut in the eyes and asked, "Where have I seen you before? Tell me!"

Longtail stared at Strut for a few moments longer, but then sighed as he turned away.
"Nevermind...I'm sorry you just looked familiar is all...maybe a sleepstory I had before." Longtail then asked:
"Well why are you here?"

"He said he wanted to hide from his brother," Lori pointed out. She paused, not comfortable bearing her feelings to people. "And I don't see why you're so intent to turn him away, when you have a sharptooth living here in the first."

Hyp glanced back at Lori. "Woah. We're under attacked and we're kind of on edge."

Strut looked at Lori. "Thank you! I will help you in any way possible in return for sheltering me."

Chomper looked at Strut. "Fine. We'll trust you for now."

"Well, Strut, the first thing to do is help us keep watch on this area. We're on duty until the Night Circle rises."

Strut grabbed broke off a stick from a nearby tree and stood guard.
