"Maybe put to much power behind the spell so it effected a larger then thought area?" Dan asked, guessing what happened. He looked around, "It may take a while to repaint."

"That was probably the problem," Drake said to Dan. "Where do you keep the paint?" He hoped there was some paint on the ship, otherwise he would be forced to try another spell, one that might backfire like this one had.

"Find the paint, and repaint this ship, stroke by stroke, and Drake, if this ship isn't back in its customary black colors by the time we reach Tortuga, Eddie is going to be serving LOTs of dragon stew... saavy?'

"There's no need for threats," Drake sighed. He couldn't see how he was going to repaint the whole ship before they reach Tortuga, wherever that was. He didn't really take the threat seriously though, several humans had already tried to kill him whether it was for setting something on fire, kidnapping a cute girl, or just because he was a dragon and an "instrument of the devil." It would take more than a drunken pirate to finish him.

The dragon growled in annoyance and ambled over to the cargo hold, deciding it would be the best place to check for paint first. He disappeared into the hold.

The Pearl had apparently robbed a paint factory ship recently because Drake found a large stash of paint, thankfully most of it was black, but he still wasn't sure if it would cover the whole ship. He wrapped his tail around the barrel and raised it off the ground, carrying it outside and setting it down on the deck.

"I will as well." Dan said, "3 Should make the job go much faster. Do you think we should work together or go to different parts of the ship?" He said as he looked around for a brush and picked up one and a can of black paint.
