Drake leapt into the air and took flight, gaining alititude until he could see the landmass they were approaching. He glanced down at the ship and saw that there were still some white spots on it. He growled worriedly and dropped back onto the deck.

"Okay, let's hurry up and finish painting this thing," he said.

"Look mate we'll get paint supplies along with the other stuff, So , for once I'll be nice, and say if you miss a spot here and there, well, we're going to be in Tortuga for at least a couple days, more than enough time for those last few spots to be painted. So don't worry. " Sparrow was a flighty guy, at one moment bent on revenge, the next moment being buddy-buddy..

Dan nodded hearing the others talking. Most of the forms of entertainment had not been invented yet. He wondered if they knew about what scurvy was or not yet.

Terry continued painting in the area where he was. He paused only briefly to unwrap part of a candy bar to put into his hat to feed Poromon.

Mause contninued painting and working up a swaet as the Pearl continued saioling toward Tortuga. Finally the island became visible in the distance..

Drake almsot bounced up in down with joy. Fortunately he contained himself, afraid such an action might cause him to break the floor and drop to a lower one.

Eddie sighed and leaned over the railing, staring out at the approaching landmass. "I suppose this place is often visited by pirates like us?"

Yep, its a stopping for Pirates all over the carribean" Jack replied. "Just try and avoid doing anything stupid, I've lost several former crew to slit throats."

"We can fend for ourselves," Eddie said. He didn't like the idea of setting foot in a place that sounded like it would be filled with criminals. He had spent enough time around criminals when he had wrongfully imprisoned for trying to defeat that wallcrawling menace.

"I'd like to see them try and hurt me," Drake snorted pridefully.

Cussings fine, chaps there do it all the time.. just don't go picking fights thats all.. While we do have a code, not all pirates follow it, even though we're supposed to.." Jack said.

(the saying is true, you can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family.. You've not seen your cousins in 20 years? Thats a REAL long time. In my family, we try and see both sides of the family at least a few times a year..)
