Definitely, she was telling the truth... Tria did not lie to him. "Our matings... did they make you feel good?" He hadn't really asked her before, but he knew that she would tell him the truth. Topsy was afraid that she didn't mate with him often because she didn't enjoy it enough... he had enjoyed them.

Going over to her, he spoke. He also drank some water.

"For months, we haven't really mated." Topsy said. "I want to ask... do you really want it less than I do? It could be that, or maybe you want it as much or more than I, but you want to avoid getting pregnant even more..."

"Even males know pregnancy can be quite tiresome. We tend to tell them about it. However, nature has its course. Just because we do it does not mean I'll automatically get pregnant. That's a silly thought on my part," Tria replied.

In due time, Topsy. I 'm still not fully recovered from having TRicia. Once She reached a year in age, then we cab resume 'activities', a couple more months Topsy, thats all..

(what happened to alphabetical order?! And it's been months... how could she NOT recover? A multi-TON dinosaur laying an egg which weighs a few POUNDS! It is probably more difficult for Tria to excrete! And that was months ago! She is totally recovered in like no time!)

"Just what are you saying?" Topsy asked, surprised at the contradictory statements. She was probably conflicted. One moment, she want to mate, the next moment, she doesn't?

(Go ask any mother what going through a pregnancy is like, the child is often only a few pounds, but it takes awhile to recover, emotionally, if not physically.. in this case, with Tria, its emotionally)

(A human child is much, much larger in proportion to the mother than a Triceratops... and Tria didn't even give birth; she laid an egg which hatched later. It won't take months... unless she has emotional dysfunctions.)

Leaning over, Topsy licked Tria and nuzzled her. Her doubts about mating began to evaporate.

(In any case, I believe that the alpha pair of Triceratops would be driven by instincts, if nothing else, to mate.)

Nuzzling continued for some time. Tria's feet were still sore, but they were no longer in serious pain, thanks to Topsy.

Tria agreed to mate... "This time, no pulling out before I put my seed in" Topsy said. Regardless of whether or not she got pregnant, she really had no need to worry about food for the children...
