The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

This is kind of an update on what's happening in my life. We just finished our auditions for our school musical, Titanic. For the first time in four years, I received a call back vocal audition which was really important for me. I just received the cast list tonight, and not only did I make it in, but I play the role of one of the officers on the ship. Apparently, there are four officers, which could mean there is a lot of individual singing involved for me, which fits me perfectly because I love singing. So the bottom line is.........

I'm in the show

I get to die

I GOT A PART :D

Petrie.

Sweet! When the production is finished, can we get some photos?
Also, make sure you survive the first show.

Cool! :)
Are you to be the first officer Murdoch?
Or is the role described as officer without the name?

A month of rehearsing has finished. The show is going very well, but it is HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've never had to sing so much in my life, especially high! The important thing is I'm loving every minute of it and will continue to work hard at it.

I will attempt to put pictures up when the production is done

Oh wow, that's wonderful! I'm happy to hear you're stepping up to the challenge, and I'm sure you'll do great!

I miss theater too. I was the Cheshire Cat in a rendition of Disney's version of Alice in Wonderland. They cut all of the little song numbers, unfortunately, except for the Mome Rath song  :lol I was so happy to be able to sing it.

Which of the officers do you play (if the officer has a name in the musical)? Having read a lot about the Titanic I still know the names of most officers (and a few details about a few of them) by heart.

I play Officer Boxhall. Although he doesn't have many lines, I have plenty of singing opportunities. Also, to make it fair, I also play Taylor in the band and sing "Doing the Latest Rag", as well as a passenger who is secretly a gambler who cheats at cards to win money. Fun for me :angel

Maybe I will record a couple of the songs for you guys ;)

Cool :)
But Boxhall was one of the officers who survived I think (would have to check it out though to make sure).

Yeah, Boxhall survived.  Chief Officer Henry Wilde, First Officer William Murdoch, and Sixth Officer James Moody were the only ones who died.  The rest survived.

Well I wouldn't mind dying, but then again I don't want to be a whimp and die from something minimal. I assume I will die from drowning or freezing, but it would be cool if say a chandeleir fell on top of me
