Heh, how can you suspect that a philosopher years ago is wiser then you or I TPAM? I remember a teacher saying this before, and I just thought of it to sound degrading to modern day human kind.

Because he set the foundation for all subsequent Western thought. TPAM should know that practically all western philosophers are either descended from his strain of thought or react against it. It is not a degrading idea.
