The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

I just noticed something.

Every time I watch the Land Before Time 7 I see that whenever Sierra and Rinkus took off their wing membranes were transparent, but when they landed the membranes were opaque.  Also, when Pterano is on the ground the one side of the membrane is orange, while the back of the membrane is a brownish color, and when Pterano is flying his wings are see-through.  I find it quite odd because, aren't pterosaur's wing membranes suppose to be opaqe?

I would assume parts could be thin enough to shine light through, but not the entire wing....hmmm...we need a dino expert here, pronto.

Well, I'm a moderate dino expert.  I've seen pterosaurs in documentaries where their wings are translucent, where you can see their veins and arteries when light is shined on them.  So scratch that last sentence.  Aren't the wing membranes on a pterosaur supposed to be translucent?

I suppose that shadows or vague outlines of objects which are of very different illumination may be able to be visible through the wings; nothing too detailed though. The actual major mistake about the wings in LBT is that we dont see any bone supporting the wing beyond the Pterosaurs' hands. Actually one single very long finger should support the wing which is just hanging down in the movies. Nobody could fly with that.

Funny, I remember oticing this as a kid!

These are the 2 moments that really stuck out to me. It made them seem almost magical and unrealistic or something; at this time, though, I thought they were a guy and a girl, since I was fairly sure Rinkus was female.

How very wrong I was.  :slap

Well, it wasn't much later 'till Universal decided that all the female dinosaurs in LBT had to be pink, so your confusion is understandable.

Don't worry. My misunderstanding was worse. I not only thought Rinkus was female, but I also thought he was Sierra. Ayayay...

Yeah, I might have too. At least I did when I first saw their names online...
