Terri had been keeping an eye on the sky outside their cave, and she gave a broad grin as the bright circle descended from sky. She turned to face her mate and everyone else inside the cave and said with an air of joy.
"It. Is. Time." she said in sharptooth

Pterano laughed at Cree for a moment.
"As well as that may be true brother, but as the saying goes 'out of the mouths of hatchlings'." he said with another laugh remembering having used that line once before.

Everyone was getting ready. Chomper, Rory, Rita, Ichy, Dil, Greg, Misty, Ruby, Ruby's family, Blue-Eyes, Cree, Pterano, and the others were getting ready for a big battle

"I found some more vine." Ruby's Littlebrother said happily.

"Inside joke?" Cree wondered, seeing Pterano's smile and chuckle.

"I can help collect vines too" Twiz offered, and Misty nodded, "Yeah, we'll bring back a small forest of 'em" the egg snatcher said.

Redclaw snarled, gnashing his teeth in frustration. They cold trail that they had been following had finally disappeared in its entirety. With a final throaty roar at his henchmen, he admitted defeat. It was already dark. The others had been correct in thinking that, yes, even Redclaw needed his rest. He stomped off toward his sleeping place, doing irreparable damage to any inanimate object with the nerve to get in his way.

Pterano chuckled again at Cree's question.
"Yes I suppose it is."

Terri walked over to Chomper and asked, "Are you sure you want to use your shadow trick Chomper? I don't want you getting hurt."

"Good, if we have lots of vines we can pick the best ones." Ruby's little brother said.

Ruby's father nodded. "Sounds like we're about ready with some parts of it."

With a nod, Twiz and Misty followed. Cree almost flapped out with them just to keep tabs on Twiz, yet paused. "Oh well...I guess group that big, the kid'll be fine..." he said half to himself, after all this caring thing was still new and a bit strange and he was slightly embarrassed.

"I told you it was cold" Screech whispered to Thud, the other fast biter frowned, "Oh you did not!" he quipped back, the threat of trouble from Redclaw being in a bad mood usually didn't help Screech or Thud out in their moods much, they dropped the argument after this though, not wanting to becoming a nuisance in another way.

"Sure can" Misty agreed with a smile as they came to a group of vines. "Ok, let's see..." she began picking through a few.

Pterano stiffled a laugh at Cree as he said,
"If I didn't know any better Cree...I would say you were beginning to care about Twiz."

Terri smiled at the group and whispered 'Good luck everyone."

Rory and Myra began getting a lot of vines. "Hopefully they won't be able to escape from these," Rory commented.

"Am not" Cree crossed his wings, "you think I'd let some pipsqueak of a little hatchling get to me? Please, I don't even like our own neices and nephews" all of this was a lie of course.

"Yeah, let's get them back to the group!" Misty said excitedly, carrying her own pile, Twiz held some in his beak too. "This'll be so cool, we can trip him and tie him up all with the same pile probably!".

Ruby's brother had laid his vine out so he could get a better look at how long it was and how good it looked overall, weak spots and the like.

Misty and Twiz looked on at Ruby's brother's investigation of the vines. "Well, do they look though enough?" Twiz asked.

Ruby's little brother nodded. "Maybe the different ones can be used for different things." He said.

"Like the shorter ones tying up legs, wrists, muzzles for medium ones, and such you mean?" Ruby's father said while smiling, adding in a few ideas while expanding on what seemed to be the direction his son was heading in.

Pterano laughed at Cree.
"I can tell you're lying...but it seems to those that don't know you...that you're back to normal." he then smiled at the work the others had done at gathering the vines and said aloud, "I know those vines will work well. And Cree and I will do our best to keep Thud and Screech distracted long enough for you to use the vines. I can promise you."

Misty giggled, "and we're so small we could probably tie them up without them knowing" she said. "Yeah" Twiz agreed, "especially since Mr. Pterno's comments aside" he smiled, "I've noticed grown-ups don't take us kids seriously".
