I'm going to have the Pelvanida group encounter some of the rogue mages (they will be tougher than Haresh). This is after the town scene and this will be a at night.

I want the Pelvanida group to take them out. You can have Stripetail scold them for what they did after they kill the mages. Don't worry, they only encountered a few of them.

Alright, but Stripetail will give Kerzach a magical shield which will help protect them from the mages attacks..

Actually the battle will be at night and only occurs because Dr. Kerzach, Deimos, Zachary and Strut go into the kitchen to have a bite to eat and get caught by the mages.

Yes. I wanted to give the Pelvanida group an intense challenge (almost like Mikoto but not as overpowered).

For this, I'd assume that the spells the mages use are all combat related (elemental blasts) and LOS (line of sight - if they can't see you, they can't send a fireball at you, however, then can throw them like grenades.)

The Pelvanida group will have to rely on firepower and use of the environment to their advantage.

Oh on a side note, what about The Tourist's "after battle" examination that the characters are undergoing?

And for now, Dr. Kerzach will be the only one with an enchanted weapon. I guess that's appropriate for a Badass Normal (he can only stab and slash with it; he can't use it to send a bolt of fire at his enemies.)

You need more information about the examination? He's mainly using his wrap around glasses, they are a multi sensory thing, sorta like the tricorder and medical tricorder, if you've seen star trek, with a few other functions, light intensification, infrared, built in polarization. I assumed they would be ok and would not be to powerful or god moding.

What sorts of results would you want the examination to reveal? or do you have something you'd want to say about the process?

Well it could reveal that a few of Rime's ribs are broken and that Mr. Bigmouth or Ms. Swimmer was stabbed and they have suffered some bruising and that Strut has some bruises.

Just a bit to help with their pain, some minor healing ect?

I guess minor healing and pain relief. Not much you can do with broken ribs.

with broken ribs all you can do is wrap the area in padding and let the bone heal itself. that can take weeks deoending on how badly broken the ribs are..

True, using technology, though high tech could speed it up a bit and in theory magic could knit bone together, maybe best to not do that in this case.
