Semi relevant question:

What universe did "Guardian Form" Petrie and Ducky come from?

I ask because they were mentioned in Insane Cafe 2.

They seem like really interesting characters but the Great Valley in this is the Twilight Valley incarnation so there could be conflicts.

Guardian Form Petrie & Ducky? I must have missed that reference. Sounds similar to a version of Ducky and Petrie I ran in an earlier insane cafe chapter. Likely not the same one. That one was based on the ideas I had for a lbt version of the power rangers. Again, doubt it's the same thing as guardian form Petrie and Ducky.

Yeah, I remember some of the powers they had:

Ducky: Could dive into any surface like it was water, "Ice tooth" (projectile icicle attack)

Petrie: "Big Blowy Wind" (wind attack that picked up debris and battered enemies), "Sky Fire" (directed lightning strike)

They actually would be pretty interesting as "public domain characters" (anyone can control them as long as continuity is maintained.)

I guess since the TWV dinosaurs are older, these two's powers would be more developed.

I remember some stuff about them. Since they had not tech the way I did their morphs was like the ninja rangers. Not sure of the exact words they said. Not sure where the 2nd chapter is to look stuff up.

I don't recall if they had a costume. They may have gotten larger or changed color since dinos don't wear clothing. I do remember some stuff. The 4 footers my idea since they don't really have fingers would cross their front feet. Not sure how Spike would say the words since he can't talk, unless he doesn't change or grunts or something. I guess they could just change color.

As I recall it Mr. Thicknose was their mentor. The backstory I had in mind was he was the last living member of his team and the way things worked then was the last one alive became a guardian or whatever term I used. They would stop aging and when events happened when the great valley needed guardians/rangers or whatever they were he'd pick successors to pass the power on to, & become mentors to the new team, and they'd then start aging at the normal rate once more. I think I have Ducky talk about this a little. My idea was likely most (or all) of Mr. Thicknoses team members eventually died from old age one by one. Since few rangers are actually killed I thought it would be in keeping in spirit of the power rangers thing and LBT since few Dinos are killed also.

in an rp discussion that fizzled someone suggested in addition to this that maybe there could be beyond rangers with some other folks being members of that one and grandpa longneck being their mentor. Though I wasn't going to be the gm of this and I don't know what the great valley rangers have been like since sadly the discussion fizzled out.

I only rped Ducky and Petrie since they got separated from the others when the gang were exploring some caves, as they often do. There were other team members but I didn't say exactly who they were I don't' think. I guess the movie gang would be all members, of course. I wasn't sure about Spike since he can't talk but maybe he could grunt or something or mumble or grunt incoherently and that would count for morphing.

I had not decided and didn't mention of Ruby or Chomper were members or even in the great valley. I guess for max number of players it could be they are great valley rangers, or beyond rangers living in the great valley.

They could be extra rangers sort of things. Since many seasons had more then 5 rangers by the end of the season.

My idea for the zords and mega zords would be like mystic force where they become zords themselves, and can merge into a mega zord.

Silly ideas but that is how I did or though of the lbt version of power rangers you saw in the earlier chapter of the insane hotel.

Cera my idea, though not mentioned, would be her ability to crack rocks would be increased maybe along with or instead, maybe a sonic yell sort of thing, sorta like the silver an bronze age black canary had (a DC comics character).
