Incendia surveyed his surroundings. From atop one of the taller building in the city, he had a good vantage point to get a visual on the situation. It certainly wasn't pretty, though this bothered the orange dragon little.
Glacia groaned from where she lent, aside a brick wall. 'I can't believe I'm responsible for YOUR actions,' she said with distaste. 'It's enough to put up with you, and now even more so when the lives of others are directly in question.'
Incendia turned, and faced his sister. 'Hey, I'm only going to go for a quick fly around and have a looksie, what could possibly-'
'DON'T SAY THAT!' Glacia shouted, spitting out some of her ice breath by accident in the process. She wiped a hand across her face.
'You're so funny when you shout,' Incendia replied with a giggle, before looking back out into the city. 'Hey, I think I see a Starbucks over there, I might go and check it out.'
Glacia rushed over and grabbed her brother. 'Listen to me, buster... and listen well. I'm lenient most of the time, but I swear to some god or the other that if you do anything stupid in the middle of a WAR I will NOT... BE... HAPPY!'
'So, uh... You'll be mildly annoyed?'
'I'LL BE FURIOUS! ARE YOU EVEN TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY!?'
'Um... cheese?'
Glacia clenched her teeth, and let go of her brother. 'Just... go. Go and do your little fly around, and report back to me or Tarrax. Just scout, eyes and ears only. That's all... understood?'
Incendia saluted. 'Yes, captain!' Then he ran off the side of the building and let his wings spread out. Glorious fluffy wings a golden orange caught the breeze, and the little dragon was into the distance.
Glacia yelled out to her brother. 'For gods sake, don't get yourself killed!' She sighed, 'I'd never forgive myself.'
