"We're holding steady since some new recruits arrived. Unfortunately, we have to be a little more judicious," the Whiptail Lizard said. "I sent some soldiers and mages to try and destroy the hotel. A scan showed that there are no teleportation defenses inside."

Mr. Bigmouth gulped down his fried rice and dashed out of the room to his "office" (actually the business center of the old hotel).

He inserted an SD card into the reader, copied it onto an encrypted hard drive. He then examined the contents. He frowned as he realized that the camera had accidentally filmed the interior of Ft. Inglorious; he quickly deleted those portions and blurred out the face and name tag of Captain Milos and Scooby during the house clearing exercise. This card was now "clean" so he copied it onto his hard drive and labeled "Release footage: Cobia Bay, House Clearing 1."

He then got to work examining additional footage.

That will just get them killed, we've tried destroying the hotel before, and it failed miserably..as you said we must be judicious, and not send forces at them that have little chance of success. The Hotel has doubtless;y been refortified..Chong said " How many did you send..he asked..

Stripetail stood up as he senses a new flow of magic.. " Have you scanned the grounds for instruders? he said to Setsuna.. " I think Chong has not given up on trying to destroy this hotel..

"I sent six. They are equipped with advanced stealth armor that we managed to reconstruct from the wreckage at Pelvanida," the Whiptail Lizard replied.

The six soldiers had split up into squads of two.

One of the squads planted explosive charges on Mr. Bigmouth's bloodroot processing plant.

Another squad targeted the magazine that held ammunition.

The last squad targeted the motor pool.

Ceela and her archers were drinking some essential water flavored with some Great Valley herbs.

Setsuna put down her tankard of ale and cast detection. "There's nothing in the hotel but I feel something, very weak outside."

Dr. Kerzach's switchblade vibrated like crazy, causing him to pull it out of his pocket. The blade jittered across the table. "Stripetail, what does it mean when my magic blade starts buzzing like this?"

"We've got more than enough gases," a Cobra ordnance handler said.

"Hold on," the Whiptail Lizard said. "Yes?"

She then listened to the transmission and turned to Chong. "They're finished with their mission," she said. She then activated the radio. "Prepare for teleportation."

She then turned to another technician who nodded and flipped on the switch to turn on the teleporter.

Hey there! Stop! one iof the Soldiers said and started opening fire on the pair that had targeted the root processing planbt " "Commander we have spotted intruders i the bloodroot processing area " engaging them now. Be out on the lookout there may be more of them."

One of the bullets nicked the stealth soldiers. He drew his pistol and shot at the soldiers before a bullet caught him square in the chest. His armor plate protected him from serious injury but he was still injured.

More soldiers came out of the hotel and started shooting. Many of their shots struck their targets but their armor protected them. Still, they were weakening.

Just before they were killed from the hail of gunfire, a blue light enveloped them and they vanished.

The soldiers reappeared at the teleportation complex.

Several of them were injured from the gunfire.

"We did it," the leader said, removing her helmet to reveal an attractive blond woman.

The Pelvanida group gulped down their meals. Several soldiers leapt to their feet and streamed into the lobby.

"Shaggy, Nani, Scooby, Dixie, Nick, Tiger, Tigeress get your weapons and come with me and check the motor pool!" Deimos barked. He then dashed out of the room, grabbing his .50 caliber sniper rifle at the ready.

Mr. Bigmouth dashed into the dining room, narrowly avoiding several other troops. "What's the emergency?"

"Sabotage."

Mr. Bigmouth nodded. "Spyro, Cynder, Anton, Paul Strut, Zachary, Dr. Zanasiu, grab your weapons check the magazine and fuel storage areas!"

Haresh stuck his head out of the kitchen. "What is the emergency?"

"Haresh, take Ms. Swimmer, Dr. Kerzach and your chefs. Sweep the kitchen and food storage areas for anything that may be a bomb or something!" Mr. Bigmouth barked. He then exited the dining room.

Haresh nodded and entered the kitchen with Dr. Kerzach and Ms. Swimmer in tow.

Rime ran by Briggins. "Commander Briggins, trigger a general alert. We have sabotage. I recommend that we take our spare troops to search every inch of this hotel."

Setsuna ran outside with her detection active. She saw several bright dots on the various vehicles on the motor pool and attached to the magazine.

She quickly fumbled with the radio and radioed Stripetail. "There are some strange things attached to the vehicles in the motor pool."

She had, remarkably, learned several modern words pretty quickly in only a month or so.

(OOC - They will lose the bloodroot processing plant.)

Several soldiers were examining the bloodroot processing plant. They had found several explosives attached to the supports and other structures.

They guarded the structure until Ft. Inglorious's EOD team could get there.

Unbeknownst to them, the bombs planted there ran on a shorter timer than the others.

Rime and a SPVDF SWAT commander led a contingent of troops - again, some of the troopers were literally children - up to the second floor.

"All right, search every inch of this floor! I want nothing unturned!" Rime shouted.

He then started digging through a recycling bin that had not been emptied in days if not weeks.

The female SWAT commander entered the men's room, much to the disconcertment of a few male SPVDF troopers using the facilities.

"You! Help search this place!" she barked.

The troopers finished up and got to work searching every inch of the bathroom. They even took pictures off the wall.

Haresh was busy using his magic to scan the sacks of rice, beans and potatoes the group had carried out.

Dr. Kerzach was examining the walls, the incinerator and the former munitions storeroom that now held cleaning supplies.

Several chefs were checking the freezers and refrigerators.

Mr. Bigmouth grabbed his rifle and Anton, Paul Strut, Zachary, Dr. Zanasiu grabbed their weapons and arrived at the fuel depot.

"Anton! Paul! Zachary! Check the fuel depot! I'll take Strut and Dr. Zanasiu to check the motor pool!" Mr. Bigmouth barked.

The two then split up.

Dr. Zanasiu crawled under a Humvee looking for explosives while Mr. Bigmouth used a search mirror he made by taping a woman's cosmetic's case to a broken golf club to look underneath an armored SUV carrying a gatling gun. He spotted something unusual underneath it. He pulled out a notepad and stuck a piece of paper to the windshield.

Nick And Shaggy were dispatched to help with checking the motor pool . ' great they could have stuck explosives anywhere around here..' Nick said
"Lets just hope they didn't go anything to my SUV or the mystery machine.. ' The mystery Machine should be able to withstand an explosive.."

Cynder and Spyro flew into the depot, and Stitch helped out by lifting the vans and suvs so the others could cjheck underneath for explosives..

"Let's go to the war room and use the tactical display, since most of us seem to be finished eating and we can formulate more plans there." Jason said getting up and heading to another room. Some of the folks not finished, including Guilmon picked up their food and or drinks and headed into the room Jason was heading towards.

As Stitch lifted up a vehicle the soldiers in the EOD worked to get off any devices stuck on the underside..
Tentomon and Biyomon checked the outside of the hotel for any intruders..

Sara set off to look for where any of the explosives may be set. She used her magic to start doing a search for the local area for explosives to try to be through before she went to look for the next area.

Scooby and Dixie made sure the mystery machine and Shaggys SUV were ok, then slowly checked the others. Agumnon Agumin and Angel checked upo upstairs areas with the searchers
looks like I'm going to have to put a barrier around the hotel to prevent enemy teleportation ' Stripetail scowled.. I'm going to have to think of a way to respond..Problem is chong can afford to lose troops , I cannot" He muttered./

Sara started to do a general search for possible explosive materials in the hotel so she could try to tell the others where they could try to focus their searches more, or areas that seemed to have non. Not as precise a search but it may help others to speed their searches to where to focus on more.

Nani Tiger and Tigeress checked breifly in the bloodroot area then withdrew after they noticed the guards already there..
Milos and Mitch swept the ammo and munitions area.. " No sign off any detonators " well I want this are double and triple checked for safety. this blows up and our modern weapons will be almost completely useless..

"Fuel depot is clear!" Zachary barked.

Anton and Paul were busy pulling the heavy doors of the warehouse-like structure that housed the majority of the fuel.

The Whiptail Lizard looked at the readouts from the shield generators protecting Cobia Bay. "We struck their fuel supplies, ammunition supplies, some vehicles and what appeared to be a processing plant of some sort."

She then looked at her watch. "Speaking of which, the explosives should go off in right about now!"

A tremendous explosion tore through the air as the explosive charges attached to the bloodroot processing plant detonated, sending pieces of machinery flying everywhere. Some of the pieces struck the hotel, damaging it slightly while others killed the troops guarding the machinery. The explosions tore open the diesel fuel tanks and set the fuel aflame, ringing the wreckage in intense flames. Tendrils of burning fuel crept towards the ammunition depot and hotel.

Unfortunately, someone had left the ammunition depot's door open...

"Fire!" a logistics volunteer shouted. She ran to the depot and tried to get the heavy steel door closed but the motors that closed it were not exactly that fast.

Several firefighters (formerly of the Surf Point Fire Department) rolled up in a firetruck whose water tanks had been filled with essential water. Not only was essential water very healthy, it also made an excellent firefighting agent as it could douse nearly any type of fire - electrical, gaseous fuel, liquid fuel or even magical.

Some of the firefighters even had "grenades" (actually old glass bottles) containing Setsuna's frost potion. The frost potion would suck heat from the surroundings, cooling down the area and making it too cool to support combustion.

Mr. Bigmouth had finished checking the Mystery Machine. The explosion of the bloodroot processing plant caught his attention. "S---! We need to move quickly!"

His words were quickly rendered useless as several more explosions tore through the air.

At the far end of the motor pool, which had not yet been checked, two humvees, a 6x6 military truck, a SUV with a minigun in a pop-up turret and an MLRS vehicle were currently on fire as the explosives detonated.

Stripetail ran towards the foront of the hotel where he saw the fire approaching ' Menic Firus Santuce UMbis" he commanded and the temperature around him began to drop rapidly this was a freeze spell the colder the area the less fuel the fire could use to sustain itself ice began to form around the hotel cutting off the fire and preventing it from spreading any closer. in just a half minute the hotel was surrounded by a layer of ice that was almost a full inch thick..
Spyro flew quickly to help those trying to put out the fire, letting forth a barrage of ice breath which began to retard the burning fuel.
stitch ran over towards the burning vehicles and began to throw dirt on them. dirt sand anything that could stiop the flane ' this issa not good ' he called out..
