The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

I have little to no belief in the supernatural.
I'm the complete opposite on this one.  I have a very strong belief in the supernatural and the afterlife.

I also love the Yankees... I have yet to go to a game in their new stadium, though.

I've got to go see a game, then.

I sometimes make lists of things to see how well I can remember them.

Sometimes I make lists of cities in certain regions to see if I can remember what things are where... and the names of big companies that are headquartered in certain places... I figure that it is a good memory exercise.

My belief on these things is that ANYTHING can happen. I'm a Christian by standard beliefs, but heck...for all I know...there is no heaven at all and there is something there that NO one has ever thought of. And if bible thumper Christians tell me I'm going to hell for thinking and believing that, it's their problem. :p

Well, I believe that we cannot fully KNOW these things... if we did, it wouldn't be faith... that's why we can believe in them without having to see them face-to-face. After all, there would be no virtue in faith if God were right in front of us all the time... if he was, people would only act good out of immediate awe and fear, not out of faith...

Just as Littlefoot's mother puts it: "Some things, you see with your eyes.  Others, you see with your heart."

So very true indeed... and with one's mind. There are also philosophical reasons to believe in God and the soul... just read Plato or Descartes. I've read both of them, and not just for college, either.

I've done a little generation backtracking and discovered a little family history dating back to about the 1880s. And I've also visited the house that my grandmother used to live in before she came to Britain. My great grandfather built it himself years ago from loose and scrounded materials he could find. Even after 100 years, it's still standing to this day.

Speaking of which, I've been able to trace my own family's history back to roughly the time of Napoleon, in which they were in Calabria, Italy... at least, on my father's side. My great-grandfather is the oldest one that I know anything significant about, and he was a cloth peddler.

Philosophy is my least favorite subject.

I somewhat like the taste of blood.

Tea can make me rather aggressive (only if paired with low sleep).

I like philosophy, and always did quite well in it in college.

I am very agile and have great balance.

I taught myself the extreme basics of nuclear fusion and fission at age 8.

I am good at basketball, soccer, and tennis, but I don't like tennis all that much?

Were you trained in acrobatics, Serris? I wasn't, but was wondering about that "agile" comment...

I am not trained in acrobatics but I seem to be naturally agile and flexible. Unfortunately, my strength is very low.

My strength is probably above-average, or at least it was in my final year of high school... probably still is...
