I am very nearsighted as well. Without my glasses, I can't even read the letters on my keyboard clearly from more than about six or eight inches away.
I'm nearsighted also, but I don't think it's too severe. Being the computer for many years is probably what worsened my nearsightedness. Nearsightedness runs in my mom's side, but I think being the computer a lot is making it worse...:p

I don't like diet soda of any kind.

In fact, I don't like variations on various pops. (I like only regular Coke, Pepsi, 7up, Sprite, and Root Beer.)

The on alternate version of I pop I liked was Pepsi Twist, or lemon Pepsi, but they no longer make it.

I once shot a basketball in the hoop from the other side of the court... very lucky shot indeed. No one tried to block it...

I can type over 60 words per minute... I need to check my WPM to be sure.

Oh great... If spending time on the computer exacerbates nearsightedness, then I'm in big trouble...

Despite my poor eyesight, I am very visually oriented (I tend to think in pictures as much or more than I think in words). For this reason, I have always preferred books with illustrations or photographs, and watch a lot of movies and TV shows.

I'm both nearsighted and have astigmatism.  My left eye is the worse one.  Also, my right eye tends to roll in my head when I'm angry or nervous.  It might be Lazy Eye, but I'm not sure :p.

I used to wear a night brace, but I haven't needed it for a while... years, in fact.

I've discovered that my favorite Bleach character is Sajin Komamura, captain of the 7th Division of the Gotei 13.

I was (mistakenly) assumed to have something on the autistic spectrum in 8th grade. I can't remember what was specifically diagnosed though. All that I remember was it landed me in special ed for the whole 8th grade. [censored] school psychologist! The odd part, is I did and still do display some traits characteristics of these disorders (as do my father and maternal grandfather). Does this mean they have something on the autistic spectrum. My belief is no and I'm sticking with that belief no matter what anyone says.

I am very sensitive to direct bright light (especially at night)

I hate eating "diet foods"

I like eating ice.

I pick or cut my nails or the skin on my hands if I'm nervous. It can get severe enough that there can literally be pieces of dead skin all over the desk.

I like curry and spicy foods.

I have never needed to get stitches for an injury nor have I ever broken a bone.

I'd rather use rechargeable batteries over normal batteries.

I like the combination of dinosaurs and guns. (Witness the Insane Cafe)

Almost every member of my family wears glasses and is nearsighted to some degree.

That makes two of us.

I bite my nails and/or wring my hands together when I'm nervous.

I can't stand cold temperatures as I tend to get cold really easily.  Optimal weather for me involves temps at 90 degrees or higher.

I also enjoy the heat, but 90 degrees... a bit much for me. 80 degrees and I'm good!

Two more matches. Now, I'm getting nervous.

I can get cold very quickly but sometimes I seem to be insensitive to cold. I'm preferential towards high temperatures (an extreme example: I functioned perfectly well in 116 degree heat <Arizona heatwave>)

On a side note related to the above story, I skipped paying $40 admission to the botanical gardens because the man at the front was sleeping. Sorry bud, high temperatures are not an excuse for sleeping on the job! :lol

I tend to excessively cut or file my fingernails if I'm nervous or for seemingly no reason at all.

I once drank a large soup spoon full of fairly spicy Carribean hot sauce for fun.

I hate wearing formal wear.

I once purposely dripped baby shampoo into my eyes to see if it really was "tear free". What I learned:

1.) Baby shampoo is not really tear free.
2.) Even smart people do dumb things.

I usually don't mind cold weather, as long as it isn't like 10 degrees below zero (Fahrenheit)
