The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

I've almost never played baseball, but have played soccer, kickball, volleyball, basketball, track, bowling, tennis, swimming, and several other sports...

I hate being left out of things, I feel so awkward when people are doing things and I ask their help, but they don't need or want any...I just feel useless at that moment....
Augh...That happens to me just about every time I'm assigned to do group work in class... :rolleyes I HATE it!

I don't like group projects 'cuz it seems I'm expected to do all of the work most of the time.  I'd feel much better about it if everyone was dependable, but figure the odds .

I am generally useful in groups, and I am quite good at leading them, based on the success of groups when I have lead...

I'm very sensitive when it comes to sound. I'll listen to something soft and simple and I'll be sobbing like a baby. :lol

I don't mind loud noises as long as I know it is going to be loud; that is, no surprise explosions and the like.

I REALLY HATE weapons control laws. Reason, totally illogical (ANYTHING can be a weapon and you can make your own) and they have not really made significant impact on crime. Worse, they can make perfectly law abiding citizens felons, even if they legitimately defended themselves from a threat.

I agree. When guns are made criminal, criminals will carry guns. Laws which prohibit gun usage reveal a deep distrust of the individual citizen. Some reasonable restrictions and regulations are fine, but the average citizen should, I believe (and the 2nd amendment has been ruled to say), be allowed to own firearms.

I am neurotic about conserving electricity. I’m the kind of person who runs around buildings switching off lights (and sometimes computers :p) that people aren’t using.

I've only been really depressed twice in my life, and one of those times was when I realised that the characters in LBT all died, faded away into dust and over millions of years ceased to exist entirely, along with every single character in the show.

So am I .  Also, I'll actually pick through the garbage can to see if my family threw anything that can be recycled away :p.

^ That's what I do, too (in public as well as at home). I'm a regular dumpster diver. :p I swear by the three R's (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), and one of my pet peeves (along with outright littering) is when people throw something in the trash when there is a recycling bin twenty feet away. :rolleyes

^ Same here.

Most of my pens, pencils and erasers are salvage materials from school along with a few notebooks and a vases and other stuff.

I compost anything that I can.

If I am bored or thinking, I start to press and knead my forehead/eyes.

I have a bad habit of plucking my beard when I'm bored or thinking.

My foremost cogitative habit, however, is pacing. My thought processes seem to function much more efficiently when I'm walking (or maybe it's just me). In any case, I do much of my thinking and brainstorming while strolling around.

^ Same here about the electricity bit. I have tumbler switches everywhere in my room so there won't be any electricity wasted on standbye modes when I leave. Admittedly I do not always switch off the laptop though when I am leaving with the expectation to be back in about 20 minutes.

I have very limited use of my right hand due to nerve damage at birth. The fact that I'm left-handed is where my username comes from.
