The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Twiz just frowned as he watched how hard it was to wake Longtail, "Gosh I hope he's not sick or something" he said.

Terri finally getting tired of shaking Longtail put him down on the ground and sighed.
"I didn't think it would be this hard to wake up a hatchling..." she muttered to herself.

It was at that moment, Longtail gave a wide yawn and opened his eyes.
"mmmm...what's goin' on? A-are we having a party?" he asked aloud sounding tired and confused as to why he wasn't in the sleeping area.

"You were sleepwalking and you grabbed an egg!" Chomper explained. "My mom would've eaten ya if you tried something bad."

Longtail looked up first at Chomper then at his mother, and for several moments his whole body went pale, and he began to shake involuntarily. "I-I'm...s-sorry....p-p-lease don't eat me!" he cried to Terri.

Terri laughed aloud as she heard Longtail's groveling.
"Don't worry kid...the egg is safe, and so by extension so are you...for now...." she said with a wide smile.

Chomper patted Longtail on the back. "Don't worry, as long as aren't doing anything bad, you won't become part of my mom's stomach."

Twiz had to flinch at the way Chomper had put it, "Any idea why you sleep walk like you do, Longtail?" he asked, just curious.

Longtail who was still pale in color stuttered as he answered.
"N-n-no...not a c-clue...w-why do you....ask?"

Terri's grinning didn't really help, but she had to admit seeing the flyer squirm was just priceless. She then pushed her luck and replied, "I don't think you're telling us the truth...and I tend to eat liars! So...if you want to keep breathing, I suggest you come out with it little one!"
She then turned to Chomper and asked, "Or would you like to try and 'persuade' him son?"

"Sure mom!" Chomper smiled, picking up Longtail and walking towards his mom. "Open wide please, mom" the purple sharptooth asked.

"Now tell the truth," he added.

Terri grinned and opened her mouth showing her razor sharp teeth.

Longtail gave a short, cowardly squeak and started to speak.
"O-okay...I...I know why I sleepwalk...it..its becuase....I...I killed those fastbiter eggs....four cold times ago...when I only had to protect myself...the...thought has haunted me...for so long...it...it m-makes me sleep walk..." he then looked up at Terri with a fear plastered face and cried out, "PLEASE DON'T EAT ME!!!"

Chomper let go of Longtail. "Don't worry, she won't eat you," Chomper smiled rather friendly.

"Yeah, and even if she does try, I won't let her" Twiz said with a smile, though he wasn't sure what he'd do if the adult sharptooth really felt like eating Longtail, even if Twiz doubted she did.

Terri gave a mirthful laugh as she looked down at Longtail.
"Don't worry kid, I wasn't really going to eat you, but sometimes it helps to make things as real as possible to get the truth out."

Longtail shuddered anyway and sighed in relief.
"T-thank you...f-for ya know, not e-eating me." he stammered aloud.

Twiz smiled as Chomper's mother said she wasn't serious, yet then frowned again with thinking on what Longtail had said caused his sleepwalking.

"Well...I guess then to not sleep walk ya gotta stop feeling guilty" he figured out, not that he knew how to do that...

Longtail turned to Twiz and asked, "How do you expect me to do that?!"

Terri blinked for a moment as she thought about Twiz's suggestion. "Little one that is a very wise idea! But you are right, we have to keep Longtail from sleepwalking but that is the problem itself."

"Maybe tie him up with a vine when he sleeps?" Chomper suggested.
"Or maybe we can get dad to help us."

Twiz shrugged, "I don't know, it was just an idea, and...I guess if getting rid of the guilt didn't work, that could" he admitted to the vines idea.

Longtail sighed.
"No tieing me up won't work...I'll just chew my way through. But I would like to get rid of my guilt."

Terri smiled.
"Well whatever we decide it would be wise for you young ones to get some rest."

"Exactly," Chomper yawned, heading back to his cave.

Chomper was surprised his dad slept through all of this.

"Well then you just gotta realize it was an ack-adent (accident) and you know better now" Twiz said. He then shrugged, "Sorry, I know that's not much help but it's what my dad told me once, about how mistakes are partly for you to learn better and since you can't change 'em, if you just think about the mistakes so much that you make them again, well, it's worse than if you just do better next time".

Twiz smiled as he thought on his dad's brief, almost stolen, visit to impart at least this much wisdom a while back.

Longtail's face took on an almost spiritual tone while he took a deep breath and the moment he exhaled the weight of his mistake so many cold times ago seemed to disappear. He then turned to face Twiz and said, "Thanks Twiz...I needed that." he said with a weary and sleepy tone.

Terri grinned as she saw the look of calm on Longtail's face, and she lead the three hatchlings back towards their sleeping place for the night.
