Males get paid more to do that than females do... much more; it is rare for males to want to do that, and many females would pay (or get their husbands to pay) for a massage by a male, rather than another female.

You will see over time... how do you know that the intruder was bad? Will his "wife" have the same scent? The same movement? The same retinas?

Another option besides execution is permanent exile, is which the offender's priperty is taken, and their name is hushed. Not quite Damnio memorandie, but very close.. the offender is barred from returning on pain of immediate execution..

That could work. and they would smuggle he out. she would be spared, and given a small percentage of her her former income to live on.. in exchange, she would change her name, and begin a new life elsewhere..
