<I know of who you seek, but even I do not know exactly where she is. We cannot find her because she is not on the Astral Plane right now. The best we can do is to leave her a message there and hope that she finds it. Unless she expects to find a message, the odds of her actually receiving it are quite low.>
"Can't you just wait around on the astral plane, or get someone else to do it? I'm sure she projects her spirit there quite often." Vespion thought he knew about the planes, but, to his chagrin, the answer he received showed how very little he knew about psionic magic and astral projection.
<I have no doubt that she does, but you need to realize that the Astral plane is infinite in size, and the odds of anyone finding her without knowing where she is on the material plane are very, very low. Like trying to find a needle in an infinite haystack. We could have a million psionics search for her, and not find anything. I can send a message which can be found by anyone who is looking for it. I know the topic is hard to grasp, but... well... the astral plane is a dminesion that exists between all other realms of existence. Whenever someone teleports, they physically pass through the Astral plane for a tiny fraction of a second. From any point in the plane, one can easily reach another point, and every point in the plane corresponds to a point in the material plane, or what you would call our world. The astral plane is highly mutable, given sufficient power. The lack of opposing forces makes it easy to embed one's will into the plane, enabling a mage to alter parts of it, or to embed a thought into the fabric of the dimension. Unfortunately, this change requires the recipient to be willing to receive it, as it will also be Aerta's will which alters the plane, or, rather, her will that enables the plane to alter for her. If she is expecting you to contact her using the aid of psionics, she should be willing to receive a message. I can tell that neither you nor I know what she would do. It is worth a shot, but you shouldn't get your hopes up.>
The grand psionic's "voice" reached everyone in the room, even though his projected thoughts made no sound.
