Kelassa remained somewhat closer to Ilsa, as she is also curious to see the Lapine, not a race you see very often in the Dracon Lands. - "Good day sir, my name is Kelassa, is it true that you are joining us in the fight against Dememoras?"

Herril looked from some distance, he then saw that Eriol stood besides him. - "That Lapine, Burdock, he must be a more familiar face to you Eriol." - the Psyonic gave a quick look at the Panther before turning his eyes again on the newcomer and Kelassa.

"And you sure are paying more attention to Kelassa than to pay attention to the newcomer." - Eriol replied as he noticed Herril's glance on his female partner.

Herril looked back at Eriol. - "I wasn't looking at..." - but there is no use to hide it. - "I just don't want her to be in this party."

"Then why don't you tell her that?. Is it because she will refuse?" - the male Gaean Panther crossed his arms together as he leaned on the wall.

Herril gave a laugh. - "Are you sure you are not a Psyonic, or maybe you have any other kind of magic without knowing?" - the male Psyonic couldn't hide his smile.

"Sorry, no magic for me..." - Eriol said as he laughed a bit. - "... and you don't need magic to know when a man wants to love a woman."

Herril's eyes opened wide. - "Just wait a sec...." - But the Panther began walking closer to Adykon, so he will be there to know first hand, the next course of action. Herril just sighed and looked at Kelassa again.

"So, Burdock, are you fully aware of the situation? Do you need me to explain anything to you?" Adykon asked the lapine, making sure that he knew what he was getting himself into.

"No, it's ok..." Burdock looked around "Are there any places of interest in this palace? Like a bar or something..."

"There's one. It's all the way in the left wing, far from us. We're at roughly the center of the palace, so you will need to head all the way down this western hallway" Adykon told Burdock, pointing in the right direction.

So, Burdock walked down the long hallway, of the attractive looking palace, and made it to the bar. He didn't know how things worked in these lands and their pubs, so he just stood and waited for a waitress to come to his service.

What can I get for you sir " said a young Draconess who evidently was the bartender. " Some wine perhaps, the king likes wine for the most part, we keep a separate cellar for him.. She glanced at Burdock " are you a member of the adventuring party? she asked.

Burdock just stood where he was, aghast at the sight of a female Lapine in front of him. This had been the second time today.

Delphine moved next to Burdock, still smiling.

"What can I get for you?"

Burdock ignored everything she just said and asked her a question.

"Ha- have you always been here? That is, this dried up desert with these lizard people? I don't know what to think. I need a seat." Burdock thought he was going to lose his mind.

Margas and Ilsa took some time to relax and recover from their long ordeal ' Hey Aerta?' Ilsa asked " do you mind if I ask you a few questions? Such as, how long were you trapped in your castle?

"It wasn't MY palace, you know..." Aerta had a point, as Dracon females couldn't own land.

"...but, I was trapped there for several months. Dememoras's forces launched a siege not too long after he killed my husband, and you all showed up to save me just in time."

Technically, you're right since it was your husband who really owned it, but since he was killed, then the castle has no owner under our laws..
Which is compl- Ilsa began before Margas quieted her with a motion from his arm "how long were you married to the archmage?" Margas asked >'I'm margas, Ilsa's new husband. You met her previously I understand..."

"Yes, I met Margas before. I had been married for many years, decades, even. It is hard to think about that now, if you don't mind. As for the palace, whatever will be left of it, it will either go to my sons, or Adykon, in the event that I marry him. Really, it is whoever asserts the claim on the property first and whose claim is the strongest. If no male related to or married to me gets it, some king or noble will likely claim it as his property."

Aerta was right not to want to think about it; even after Dememoras was stopped, it was likely to be a legal nightmare in determining who gets the property. Adykon's claim to it would be much strengthened should he prove to be the hero the people hope he will be, and the world needs him to be, if only because they will be too grateful to deny a claim of his if it is even half legitimate by a possible marriage to the wife of the original owner.

So you are interested in Adykon/ Ilsa smiled slightly. " Hes a strong warrior, and a good leader, and under our customs, a widow should get remarried as soon as possible, for the sake of stability. hes a good match, if not really much in the magic department. but ultimately it is up to you..." Ilsa finished " Now, is there any question you wish to ask me?"

Eriol stretched his arms. - "Well, since there isn't many fun things to do here, I'll also go to the bar and have a drink." - He said that and began walking towards the bar.

Kelassa was listening to the conversation been held by Ilsa and Aerta. - "That would be so splendid: to get married and have a home with a nice and big family." - the female Dracon Healer joined her hands as she closed here eyes trying to imagine how would it be.

Herril was looking at Kelassa. - "That would indeed be good." - That was the Psyonic's thoughts as he contemplated his female partner. He then looked at Aerta, she has always been a beautiful Dracon... beautiful and very powerful, but she got married with an archmage, so Herril had to give up on her. But now that she is a widow, what will Herril do? he is not a big challenge to the hero Adykon, and now there is not the time for that as Dememoras could strike again at any time.

Kelassa looked as Herril left the hall. - "Where is he going?" - she asked, not knowing if someone else listened to her question.

Well, it has its advantages and disadvantages. Some of the advantages are the wealth, and status the family provides, as well as the husband, should the marriage work out that way. In my case it did, since Margas here is the oldest surviving son in his family..'
"I had 7 older brother but they were all killed during the last war, before Dememoras came back on the scene' Margas said. " So I was the next in line and when her father offered me her claw in marraige I leaped at the chance.. We had studied magic under the same mage years ago.. and I was fond of her, although I did npt expect to marry her or to woo her really. Funny, how fate works out that way..."
