"Let me see the egg" the healer asked. As he examined the egg, he placed his hands on it as well, making the egg briefly light up with a light blue glow, from which the unborn child could be seen stirring around.

"Mother and child will live. It seems that she was exposed to magical energy for a long time. Was she ever trapped in a place of dark magics?" he asked Marcus.

Yes she was. A vampiress named Asthia, who was very powerful" Marcus said, running his claw over his forehead. "She was there for awhile, at least a few weeks..they hooked her up to the ceiling with some sort of tendril.. " Marcus paused remembering the scene...which he had hoped to leave behind him..

Thacklos had heard of Asthia. "She was linked up to that... horror?! By the gods. She was lucky to have lived."

Rhiga began to stir.

"Marcus? What happened? Who's that? And... am I naked in front of a guest?"

This is Thacklos, the healer"Marcus said soothingly. " He managed to heal you.. both you and the egg will be fine.. as for your being naked. He rushed into a nearby room and came back with a blanket and cover his mate to be with it..

Rhiga quickly took the blanket and curled up in it, and was asleep in a few minutes.

Thacklos looked around. "She should become lithe again pretty soon. Now that she is no longer carrying an egg. Still, she will be out of it for some time. I wouldn't recommend anything strenuous for her for at least two weeks, maybe longer."

How about mating? when can we resume that?' Marcus asked "If You Think I should wait a bit I will.. but she may not be so understanding..How long would you say before the egg hatches?"

"The egg has several months to go because it is premature. As for mating... you should wait a week or two. She should feel better sooner than you think. I healed the injuries. Now it is up to her body to resume its normal functions." Thacklos replied.

Fair enough.. now how much do I owe you? Marcus said heading towards the kitchen he kept an assort of coins, "seed money" as he called it. "I owe you a great deal, if not for you, Rhiga might be..' he trailed off

"Keep your money. I am paid plenty by Tallon, and this was an emergency" the healer replied. Thacklos lived simply, as evidenced by his very light style of dress and his ascetic practices. He still had several children with as many different females, though. His religious views were such that "spreading his seed" was good, but 'artificial' luxuries, like alcohol and golden articles, were bad. Helping others was a must, though.

At this time Minna and Ilsa had found a portal and entered into another room. this one was filled with bones and it reeked of dead flesh. ' this is what you will be, when I am done with you" Malcia's voice echoed through the chamber "Come out!" Minna shouted before Ilsa grabbed her arm "Shes not in here.. but is sending her voice in though magical means.. We're getting closer though..

Lucien eventually found the flowers needed. "Great! I think that's it! Do you see a portal, Margas?"

Meanwhile...

Annette was still with Minna and Ilsa. She could not see where Malcia was communicating from, but she could sense her energy.

"She's above us, somewhere. I don't know how to get to her, though!"

Wait a minute" Magrgas paused, then finally saw the portal appear in front of them " There! Hurry on! These portals don't last long!' He rushed forward towards the portal.

You have to go through portals to get to her that's the nature of the game"Ilsa said " you can't get through any other way.." Sh added as they moved along

"I don't know where that portal is!" Annette clarified.

Just then, Lucien and Margas came crashing through, their portal having opened up above the girls. When the two of them dashed through, it led them to this room. It snapped shut behind them, leaving all of them seemingly trapped in the same room together.

The fact that the Dracon males fell on top of Minna and Ilsa did little to help the situation. They were not hurt badly, though, just sore. Annette was lucky enough to have been standing farther away from the tangled mess.

IlSa swore as she pushed Lucien off of her.. " Fancy that! You boys dropping in! Literally she grumbled. margas Extracted himself from the tangle with Minna, and brushed himself off before rising to his feet. "We've been through two rooms so far, hopefully we're getting closer to that blasted fiend' Margas spat on the ground, there was some blood on his mouth from landing hard on top of Minna. "You need to lose some weight' Minna cracked as she slowly got to her feet.

Lucien helped the girls to their feet and dusted himself off. "Now that we have 'caught up', we need to plan out next move. Girls, do you know how we can get out of here? Malcia is still waiting for us at the end of this stupid, stupid game!" he shouted, losing his temper and stamping the floor hard enough to bruise the sole of his scaled foot. This took some of the winds out of his sails for a moment.

_ the smell in the room got worse as they moved forward.. it was the smell of decaying flesh mixed with the foul smell of the water through which they were moving..

"Where'd this water come from? What's going on here? It makes no sen-" Then Lucien saw a portal leading to a place which was nothing more than water. It was a controlled portal to the elemental plane of water, an infinite expanse of H2O. This game was getting stranger and stranger all the time.

Lucien stepped through. There was air! This couldn't be the elemental plane of water... there was no air in that, save for a few magically-altered settlements. No, this was another plane entirely, gods knew who made it or why.

"We seem to be stuck on a tiny piece of land" he thought to himself, and indeed they were. The girls had to be on tiptoes just to prevent themselves from getting their feet wet. The light in this place was coming from a luminous orb several miles up in the sky; a replicate of a star, only in miniature. Weird. This was getting very weird. "At least we won't be thirsty..."

Unfortunately, it was all salt water.

So this place is one giant ocean, judging by the smell' Minna said as a small strip pf land appeared before her as she moved around. "There's a portal around here somewhere.." She said' Just keep moving and we'll find it.. clock's ticking though.. Minna and ilsa moved from strip to strip.. watching thier step.
