"Wait, is that all he's after, money?" Violet asked, only having listened to sections of the conversation, not really paying much attention to it "Cause, can't we give him a few gold coins or whatever and tell him to leave us alone?" she added in as she continued to eat some more.

"He wants power, not money" Tallon told Violet, taking a bite of the meat. "He wants to be the one to raise his hand and order construction of a pyramid built for his glory. He would enslave all to get his way, and destroy all we have in the process. Seriously, if he does that, a few thousand years from now we will all be poor or dead, with only a few cracked monuments to shows for it. He comes from a time and a society in which this was considered acceptable, but it isn't anymore."

"No, I don't imagine you would" Tallon told her, taking a sip of juice. "Dememoras would probably kill all who got in the way, or those who he didn't think fit in, or those who were no good as slave labor. Tell me, Violet, do your people have a reputation for working hard or being highly skilled?"

"Well, they do work quite a bit, you know, chopping wood, farming, hunting and what have you, so I suppose they do, same with their skills....um, why's that?" Violet decided to ask back, leaving the remainder of her food on the table.

"Good to hear!" Tallon told Violet, while cleaning off a piece of meat that had fallen from his mouth. "I don't know what level of resistance Dememoras expects, but I am sure he will test the defenses of our city first. That's how it is with archmages, at least."

"How would you know so much about archmages?" Adykon asked, curious, but realizing the answer just before Tallon said it.

"I employ one. Do you think it would be wise for me to live in a world so full of magic without the proper advice on handling it? No. All prudent nobles need to know about magic, lest they be blindsided by it. Same thing applies to kings, princes, emperors, and just about anyone who has power. Magic is too unpredictable to be left unchecked. That's what makes it dangerous. Having someone who knows about the dangers and opportunities of magic is therefore invaluable."

Violet just gave off a little smile back as she looked to the food. She had lost her appetite as she gave off, yet, another sigh "I'm not hungry anymore" she told Adykon at least as she got up from her seat "I think I'll go for a walk or something"

Something was on her mind, but she just didn't really want to say anything as she walked off out of the dinning hall, walking down one of the hallways first, as for now, she was making her way back to her room.

Vespion saw that something was wrong and excused himself from the table. After a minute, he found Violet walking the halls of the palace.

"Excuse me. We haven't spoken since we first met, but I can see that something is bothering you." Vespion told the female.

Meanwhile, at the table...

The meal was winding down. Servants scurried to clean up the mess Eternion had made, while clearing the table for all the other guests. Breakfast wasn't usually this epic.

"Alright everyone. Tallon, Lucien, and Margas will meet up with us later. Right now, we need to discuss our plans. Minna and Ilsa, I don't know if you two are going with Tallon or not, but there's this issue about marriage arrangements to Lucien and Margas. It might be a triple wedding, with Rhiga, Marcus, Minna, Ilsa, Lucien, and Margas marrying into three couples at once. Good thing too. We really don't have the time to delay. Dememoras isn't going to wait for us to settle our affairs before attacking." Adykon told the rest of the group.

Violet slowed down before stopping as Vespion spoke to her "Well, it's just this whole fighting thing, and it's just that I'm well, afraid of my race is all, I mean, everyone kept on saying that they could either be enslaved or killed, and I don't want either of that to happen....that's what's on my mind at the moment, and I just can't help but think of it now" she told him.

"I don't know what to do really, well, except for helping out is all" she added in as well "What do you do when your own race is in danger?"

"My race has only been in danger a few times before, and not during my lifetime. I'll admit, this is new to me too. I for one am not going to turn tail and flee; I shall stay to the end and resist this menace on my city. Surrender is not an option." Vespion told Violet, defiant.

There was silence at first from Violet, before she finally spoke "I suppose it's best to not turn tail and run....running never gets anyone anywhere" she paused again "Well, I suppose you can still count me in" she added in with a bit of a smile.

"I'm sorry for dewelling on it, it's just that nothing like that has ever happened before, and I guess I just didn't know how to really handle it"

"I have?" Violet asked looking a little confused before shaking her head "Um, thanks" she decided to added in with a proper smile this time.

"So um, what's going to be happening now? Cause I remember a wedding was suppose to happen, well, that's what Adykon told me at least"

"We need to hear the plans from Marcus and Rhiga. They are finally going to marry, along with Minna, Lucien, Ilsa, and Margas." Vespion told them. "I might be the one to perform the ceremony, being a priest and all."

"A flower girl just tosses out flowers in front of the couple about to be wed. There will be a basket filled with the favorite flowers of the bride, or brides as the case may be in a wedding with three couples, and all you'd have to do it to throw them in front of the couples as they proceed down the aisle. As for dancing, that is usually done after the vows are taken." Vespion told the girl.
