"Don't tell me that you've never seen a female of my kind before?" The waitress helped him back up, and set Burdock back in his seat, dusting him off. "Now, what would you like?"

Burdock's eyes were about ready to pop out of his head.

"I... I would like a nice piece of... Cherry pie. Wait, nevermind. I don't have money."

The female Dracon laughed at that remark, her tiotleglas rose and fell as she did so.

"You're funny. I like that." She moved over to Burdock and, acting on whim, gently stroked his ears. "How did your ears get so big?"

Burdock could not believe he was being touched by this nice women.

"Well, I guess they just grew out of my head. Everyone I knew had these ears."

"And those odd hands and feet." The female had never seen a lapine before, like Burdock. "Why do you have five fingers and toes? And that short tail? And all that fur?" She asked out of curiosity, not out of ill-manners.

"They just grew, hun." Burdock look down at his feet. He guessed they impressed her. "But that doesn't make me different enough to be unlikable. I'm still a nice gentleman, just as much as you're a nice gentlewomen."

She moved over to him, laughing while gently moving her claws over his fur. "Well, you seem like a strong male. You've got such sharp claws, and... how did you get this scar on your chest?"

Burdock looked at the scar she had pointed at. He remembered a narcotics arrest and a violent fight with the suspect. I can't tell her that.

"I was once assaulted by three men, took down all of them but was scrapped by a sharp object. Nothing major."

"Ooh. How tough." The waitress didn't really believe that story, but at the point, she didn't care.

"Tell me, you are a lapine, right? I've heard of your kind, but I've never seen one of you. You must have come a long way to be here. What brings you to our lands?"

"I am. I was forced to leave where I lived because of unemployment issues. Right now I signed up to join a group of mercenaries, or something like that. I'm waiting for them to return." Burdock replied.

"As you wish." Burdock stood up and was prepared to follow the women where she wanted.

The female quickly guided him up to a room with a bed and a table. She gestured for him to lie on the table, though, not the bed.

"Just lie down however you feel most comfortable for telling your story, and we can take things from there. My name is Aurora, by the way. "

Burdock looked at the bed, then looked at the table. "Hmm, ok then, Aurora..."

Burdock laid down on the table, facing upward.

"What else would you like to know?"

"Well, I would be interested to know, are your people as fond of comfort as my kind are? Among us dracons, the females are the ones who enjoy... sensation the most, but it is different in other races, sometimes even reversed."

"Why yes, we do enjoy comfort a lot. Both genders do. That must explain why many of us males are sometimes lazy." Burdock said with a smile, looking up at the ceiling.

Aurora giggled at that "And the females, are they lazy too?" As she spoke, her hands moved over Burdock's chest, rubbing his strong muscles. She also stopped for a moment to get a pillow, which she inserted behind Budock's head.

"Well, you may not be a dracon, but you are not weak, either. I see you have muscles like our kind, even under that fur, and you don't use those odd things I see humans put on their feet."

Aurora was referring to shoes, although she didn't know that lapines also used them.
